One wedding, two brides, a groom, and a missing Rebecca. Thenjiwe carries guilt for Bra Gibb’s death while Nolitha brings a new life into the world. And this is all in one episode coming Friday. Will Khaya take Mam Rebs’ life?

Friday 28th April will mark what would have been the end of season 1 for The Black Door. But with the show’s never-ending dramatic twists and turns, this season continues until late May.

From this Thursday, The Black Door will reveal a story hardly seen on South African television, where one man marries two women- at the same time.

It’s the beginning of day 1 of the wedding, but not all is as it seems when Nolitha laces Nandi’s drink with muthi, attempting to kill her and have Khaya all to herself. While all this unfolds, TK introduces Thenji to his mother during the wedding. At that very moment, our favorite Matshidiso discovers that Mubheni is married. Drama!

Day 2 sees TK faced with a hard decision involving Thenjiwe. Nolitha goes into
labor and Khaya is forced to tie up a loose end, leading to the biggest question – Will he kill Mam Rebs? All this, in what was supposed to be the final episode of The Black Door!

According to ZiMoja, The Black Door is coming to an end soon. A source told the publication that the show has been canceled due to a decline in viewership

“Well, they started on a good note. People were excited about seeing something different on TV, but many others complained about the steamy sex scenes and the channel decided to tone it down,” a source tells ZiMoja.

“But then that affected the show negatively, as people signed up for the steamy and the provocative. This caused a decline in viewership,” the insider adds.

The show recently announced that Sthembiso ‘SK’ Khoza who played Sabelo Cele, better known as Beast was leaving the show.

“It has been 6 months since SK joined the show as Sabelo Cele, better known to the viewers as BEAST. This coming Thursday will see the end of the road for SK on the show.

It has been a roller coaster ride with SK’s role, as he has trended on various social media platforms with his cunning, calculating, and smooth acts with his “tongue” amongst other things. Sabelo has been in rivalry with Khaya, a role played by Zamani Mbatha, and also had intimate relations with Mam Rebs, a role by Linda Sebezo.

Sabelo then gets into conflict with both characters, who then end up killing him, the big question being, who killed Sabelo? This is after Sabelo hangs it all in front of the Mabuzas, telling the real reason he came to Mpumalanga, which was to revenge his father and Rebs is gutted,” said the channel.

AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, has opened up about how heartbroken Kairo Forbes is following the untimely passing of his father, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes.

The rapper and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were gunned down in February on Florida Road in Durban.

In an exclusive interview on eNCA’s News Night, Lynn spoke out about how she broke the devasting news of AKA’s murder to his daughter Kairo Forbes.

The 7-year-old was close to his father and his passing has left her devastated.

Lynn said she was given the tough responsibility of breaking the heartbreaking news to Kairo that her father had passed on.

She said: “I told her that we have some really sad news…Your dad died”.

Lynn said Kairo asked her what happened to his father. She continued to explain, “I said some bad people hurt him….they shot him. She cried terribly”.

Lynn continued, “She asked: ‘But, he’s coming back, right? He will be ok. And I had to tell her, ‘No, he’s not coming back, and we have to bury him.

Lynn Forbes was interviewed by City Press where she spoke about AKA’s murder. The grieving mother questioned how the killers are feeling after committing such a heinous act on a father and brother.

Lynn revealed that she sometimes thinks about the people who planned her son’s murder.

“He didn’t just die. Someone planned his death,” she said. “Are they happy? Do they regret it? Are they laughing about it? Do they think they made a mistake or are they glad they finally did it?”

“If I did that, it would swallow me up as a person. I’m not God and I can’t point a finger at anyone. I just wonder how and why everything happened. But what do I know? I’m just a mother?” she told the publication.

A couple of weeks ago, the Forbes family issued a statement warning the public of peddling unverified reports surrounding the murder probe of the late rapper.

They also made mention of scammers posing as the Forbes family trying to get money from people.

“We are at a loss for words to describe our gratitude for the outpouring of love that we’ve received from the Megacy. We’ve seen people deeply hurt and angered by Kiernan murder and wanting justice. As a family, we empathize with the grief experienced and we understand your pain,” the statement reads.

“We are aware of the growing public discontent related to the progress which has been made in the investigation. However, as a family, we are deeply concerned that irresponsible actions, accusations and assumptions may cause more harm than good,” the family Continued.

“At this time, we call on the Megacy to mourn responsibly and ask for patience so that the law enforcers have the space to do their job. We humbly request that you continue celebrating Kiernan’s life, preserve his memory and continue his legacy through his music. Your joyous celebration of his life gives us comfort. ”

The family has also been alerted of scammers posing as the family “Lastly, we would like to bring to your attention that there are false requests for donations and investments from people posing as members of the Forbes family. We have not opened any donation accounts or requested investments,” she added.

SABC 1’s flagship soapie Generations: The Legacy is believed to be seeking ratings as e.TV soapies like Scandal are hot on their heels to overtake it and become the second most-watched soapie in the country. As such, it is believed that creator Mfundi Vundla is scrabbling to make sure this does not happen.

The first part of the plan was getting rid of one of its original cast mates Musa Ngema who played the character of Mazwi Moroka. As reported:

In March 2023, it was already speculated that Musa Ngema was set to bid farewell to his beloved character Mazwi Moroka. As reported:

However, the return of the pair will definitely shake things up and also see some actor (s) exiting the show. Reportedly, Mazwi Moroka who is portrayed by Musa Ngema will be leaving the show at the return of Karabo Moroka and Tau Mogale.

As such, on Friday, 21 April 2023, Mazwi finally met his end in the world of the story as he was killed when he saved his cousin Paul from his kidnapping.

In light of the funeral arrangements, the cast of the show is set to have a shakeup as it will mark the return of one of the soapie’s most beloved couples, Karabo and Tau, played by Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo. As such, the soap has teased the first look at the return of the first half of the beloved couple.

However, besides his co-hosting duties, he also has his own podcast, The Penuel Show, which recently got numbers following his interview with Vusi Thembekwayo over his apartheid stance and his beef with Sizwe Dhlomo.

However, it seems that his upcoming episode is set to make numbers again. This comes as the upcoming interview is set to be with the aspiring actress and influencer Bianca Coster. Coster gained notoriety on social media as the face of the contentious Twitter account known as Chris Excel.

The account sits with over 1.6 million followers and counting. This a fact that could have made Bianca popular if most of the tweets from the account weren’t misogynistic and mainly woman-hating.

She then added:

“The damage he has caused to me & my family has been both humiliating and emotionally draining. Constantly having to validate my innocence & disassociation with the account.

Before there was Chris Excel there was me. A person in the flesh with dreams, goals & a full life to live. It’s my turn to tell my story and in that hopefully bring awareness towards cyberbullying.”

It’s a competition for a grand prize of R1 million, which goes to the winner’s South African charity of choice.
