Following Twitter Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk’s decision to do away with blue checkmarks verified accounts. Most celebrities both locally and internationally vouched not to pay the $8.00 to retain their verified Twitter accounts.

Media personality, actress, and now reality TV star Thando Thabethe is one of the few Mzansi personalities who still has a verified Twitter account. Even after claiming that she will not be paying to have a verified account, Thabethe is claiming that Elon Musk is actually paying for her account.

Even though Elon Musk claimed to be paying for only three Twitter blue checkmarks accounts and that is of Lebron James, Stephen King, and William Shatner. Other Twitter users who still have their blue checkmarks verification are paying the $8.00 from their own pockets.

When iconic blue checkmarks verification began to disappear two weeks ago when the company fully moved over to its new subscription service called Twitter Blue. Even celebrities with millions of followers immediately lost their blue checkmarks.

Last week Thursday, author Stephen King noticed his check mark was still on his account, despite promises from Twitter that all checkmarks would be removed if users aren’t paying for the subscription.

“My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t. My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t,” King tweeted.

Tweeps started noticing that actually Thando Thabethe still has her blue checkmarks verification, even after she publicly claimed that she won’t be paying for the subscription.

“It’s the blue badge subscription for me. You said you won’t pay last time” wrote Cortana

Thabethe quickly responded by saying that she is not paying for her Twitter blue checkmark verification.

Thando Thabethe then proceeded to elude that it is actually Elon Musk who is paying for her blue checkmark Twitter subscription.

But according to Pop Base, celebrities will now regain their blue checkmarks without paying the $8.00 subscription.

Amid nasty troll attacks on Bongani Mohosana – Murdah Bongz – AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes has come out to publicly support the new man in DJ Zinhle’s life. Lynn appeared on eNCA’s News Night, where she spoke of the aftermath of her son’s brutal murder. She also spoke about the Forbes’ interesting family dynamics.

AKA – who shares daughter Kairo with Zinhle – was shot and killed by unknown gunmen outside a Durban restaurant in February. Since the death of AKA, Zinhle’s partner Bongani has seemingly stepped into a father figure role for little Kairo.

This has been evident in multiple images shared on their respective Instagram accounts. AKA and Zinhle split for the second time in late 2019 after several years together. Zinhle moved on to Bongani in 2020, and AKA began dating Nadia Nakai in late 2021.

Before Nadia, AKA was engaged to Nelli Tembe, who tragically died in April 2021. Meanwhile, Bongani and Zinhle welcomed their baby girl Asante in September 2021.

But despite the split, Zinhle and AKA continued to show love to each other and their respective families. In fact, Zinhle is a regular feature in many Forbes family occasions.

And Lynn is defending both Zinhle and Bongani against nasty trolls. She told eNCA: “Bongani is the realest man I’ve ever known. There are so many people going at him on social media saying he is weak. Vincius Jr gave Real hope with a header from Marco Asensio’s cross. But Castellanos, 24, tucked in a cross from Yan Couto and headed a fourth – before Lucas Vazquez’s consolation.

Real are 11 points behind leaders Barcelona, having played a game more. They play Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final first leg in two weeks.

Castellanos is the first player in over 75 years to score four goals in a La Liga game against Real Madrid. In December 1947, Esteban Echaverria netted five for Real Oviedo against Madrid.

Uncapped Argentine Castellanos had played club football in Chile, Uruguay and the United States before joining Girona on a season-long loan last summer – netting seven La Liga goals before this.

Castellanos only touched the ball 15 times, with as many goals as passes attempted, before being replaced in the 71st minute.

The Real Housewives of Durban concluded the natural run for its explosive season three on Wednesday, 19 April 2023. The season continued the trend of having 12 episodes of the season with the last episode or two being the reunion of the season.

As such, some of the housewives of the season had teased the behind-the-scenes preparation for the season three reunion. As it was reported before:

… Alleged outgoing housewife Jojo Robison took to her Instagram stories to share her sharing glam room with new bestie Nonku Williams, with her husband Calven a.k.a Bu-Bear there with them.

On the other hand, Slee Ndlovu took to her own Instagram stories to share who she was bonding with ahead of the reunion. This is as she shared pictures with Maria and Mbali via her social media.

Moreover, Slee and Mbali were sharing a glam room, which makes sense considering that their friendship was formed through the drama between themselves and their former friend Nonku Williams.

Given that the housewives never confirmed that their reunion was for the season three reunion recording. It was not certain that the images and video were from the reunion. However, contentious new addition Sanelisiwe “Sane the Chef” Bhengu has since confirmed the matter.

Following the recording of The Real Housewives of Durban season three reunion, Sane took to her Instagram to host a live session. With a drink in hand, Sane confirmed that they had shot the reunion episode the day before. A snippet of the video had Sane explaining that:

“I’m only having this (the glass of alcohol she was having in the morning) because the reunion was so lit last night. I also need AA now, just like Nonku. I did not sleep because we shot until this morning…”

She then shares what happened when she was put on the hot seat for the many things she said and then denied throughout the entire season by explaining:

“Yes, I did deny everything. I denied, denied, denied until they played the playback footage and I was like, “Weh! Give me poison and let me die!”

Sane then went on to add that she was not certain as to when exactly the reunion episode is scheduled to be made available via Showmax. However, given the usual rollout of the reunion, it is likely that the episode will be made available on Wednesday, 3 May 2023.

This is as Showmax usually skips a week before airing the first part of the reunion episodes. As such, this week, we can expect the reality show to share the trailer for the episode. As such, with the rollout of the trailer, viewers can also expect the host of the reunion to be revealed.
