Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku has shared fond memories of her late grandmother. The SuperSport braodcaster shared a video of her grandmother on her Instagram and opened up that she misses her.

In the video, the Skeem Saam star and her grandmother are getting ready to take a photograph together when the old lady tells the person behind the camera not to show her old-looking skirt. Amanda tells her that people on Facebook won’t mind here skirt.

“Dimakatso’s grandmother. We miss you all the time Legoabe’s child,” Amanda wrote in Sepedi.Lettie Maphuthuma was murdered alongside her daughter Gladys Manku (Amanda’s mother) in 2021. The alleged assassins were arrested in January 2024 and they include Amanda’s father, William Manku.

Last week, the 53-year-old police captain as well as his girlfriend, Nonhlanhla Ngubo (42) and David Khoza (40) appeared at the Magatle Magistrates Court in Zebediela, Limpopo, on Monday for their bail applications.

During proceedings, the court heard that Manku allegedly confessed to ordering a hit on his mother-in-law, Maphuthuma. According to the investigation officer in the case, Manku confessed that he found people to kill Maphuthuma and drove with them to show them where she lived.

“He then pointed to his mother-in-law’s house, and they returned to Gauteng. The hitmen came back on their own as he had given them instructions to kill his mother-in-law,” the investigator said. When “the job was done”, the hitmen called Manku to let him know that they had killed two people instead of one.

“He told them that one of the women was his wife. They said she ran away from the place, and they thought she might tell the community and they would be caught,” she continued. Manku also reportedly made payments to the hitmen.

Siya Kolisi’s wife, Rachel revealed that “many moons ago” she used to drag race cars. The reason she told the story was that one of the friends she made while drag racing had been shot.

“Fun fact, with a purpose to it. Many moons ago I used to drag race cars. @Frankfunkyfotos became a great friend at the track. There weren’t many girls (if at all) and I was always super nervous. He was always super supportive,” she wrote.

It is reported that the hijacked car was not registered in the Londiwe or her ex’s name. Investigation reveals that the vehicle was hijacked and belonged to a security company in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal. The company opened a case in KwaZulu-Natal for the hijacked car,” a source revealed.

The informant also said police confiscated several firearms from Mabonga to establish whether they were licensed. They are also still looking for a red Bentley and a BMW i8

Case against Jub Jub postponed again

The matter against Uyajola99 presenter and musician Molemo “Jub jub” Maarohanye has been postponed- again. A seemingly displeased Jub Jub appeared briefly at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court accompanied by his two uncles, a cousin and a bodyguard. Like a pantsula, he was dressed in a khakhi two piece with his shirt unbuttoned revealing his white vest and wore maroon and white velvet shoes.

Jub Jub is facing an array of charges ranging from multiple counts of rape, indecent assault, assault with an intention to cause grievous bodily harm and several counts of kidnapping. The matter was brought forward by three complaints who are in the public domain and once dated him. The matter was previously postponed to give the defence time to review information received from the state regarding the alleged assault and rapes.

Today, Jub Jub’s defence lawyer advocate Terrence Baloyi asked for another postponement. “I must place it on record that we have received further particulars which we had requested, they were not satisfactory, but I had a chat with my learned colleagues, and they said there’s nothing further that they can provide, therefore we will have to work with what we have, “said Baloyi.

He added that they have made a move to work by submission of facts which are based on a discussion he had with the stateState Prosecutor Agnes Bezuidenhout emphasised that she conversed with the defence and explained to him that they have furnished them with all the documents they requested. “I have indicated to the defence that we have given them all the information that we could, and he said they will request for a further postponement.

As the state we are not opposing that, however the investigation to this matter has been completed a long time ago, the defence has been provided with an annexure to the charges, “she said. The matter has been postponed to early March for the defence to make submissions to the state for representations for a way forward.
