Sello Maake kaNcube gushes over his stunning Wife

Sello Maake kaNcube has seemingly done a U-Turn on reports he has filed for divorce from his younger wife, Pearl Mbewe. Instead, the veteran actor, who has six children with six baby mamas, has heaped praise on his spouse in several social media posts.

Earlier this month, Sello made headlines after he was awarded an honorary PhD degree from a bogus college, Trinity International Bible University. Last month, Sunday World reported that Sello Maake kaNcube had filed to divorce his wife and Pearl Mbewe, who have a 20-year age difference.

According to the publication, Sello had separated from his second wife after she voiced her disapproval of his alleged flirty relationships with women, including an ex. While Pearl refused to comment, Sello reportedly confirmed he had begun the divorce proceedings. However, the TV star has seemingly changed his mind, if his Facebook posts are anything to go by.

In recent days, the actor has shared plenty of loved-up pictures with Pearl, whom he’s fondly referred to as his “life’s co-pilot.” Grace and glory combined shall always prevail! We not taking our trials and tribulations for granted. Pity ours played…

In a post over the weekend, Sello shared a look at the couple enjoying a road trip. Posting pics of the beaming couple, he hinted at his supposed change of heart in the caption:

Sello posted: “Grace and glory combined shall always prevail! We are not taking our trials and tribulations for granted. Pity ours played out on the media platforms, but there must have been a reason unknown to us. We receive the need to be the testimonial. Of so much more!

Don’t allow your non-public issues to consume you, be it work, business deals, and everything else. Stand up as oneself and fight! We shall take each day as it comes. Pearl Mbewe Maake Kancube, you are still the one.

Sello Maake kaNcube was previously to Palesa Mboweni for just eight short months in 2015. Sello Maake kaNcube has taken on many roles in his life, but one he is not proud of is his history of abusing women in relationships. Speaking candidly about his past in an interview on Kaya FM’s breakfast show, the soapie star revealed a side of him, not many fans knew.

When asked if he had ever hit a woman, he responded: “Yes, I did. Sello – who played the iconic character Archie Moroka in Generations – also opened up about how he rehabilitated his behaviour as an abuser back in the 1980s.

Kelly Khumalo’s career said to be hanging by a thread after she was fingered in Senzo’s murder

0

She always grabs headlines for being embroiled in salacious scandals and it has become quite clear that when it rains, it pours for singer Kelly Khumalo. According to sources, the singer has lost money after not securing bookings following some recent lurid revelations in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria that paint her as the mastermind behind the murder of her late boyfriend and baby daddy Senzo Meyiwa in October 2014.

Zandile Khumalo

It is said that her singing career is hanging by the balance, as gigs are far and few between. Promoters are apparently wary of booking the singer, because of fears of reputational damage after confession statements from accused number one Muzi Sibiya and two Bongani Ntanzi in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial implicated Kelly as the mastermind. Judge Ratha Mokgoathleng ruled in a trial-within-a -trial that the Ntanzi and Sibiya’s confession statements were admissable. In the confession statements read in court last month by state witnesses Lieutenant Colonel Moholo Solomon Raphadu Colonel Mhlanganyelwa Mbotho, the two accused said they were briefed that the person who initiated the hit was Kelly who they allege paid R100 000 for the murder.

Kelly Khumalo

The source who is also in the music industry said Kelly had a lot of gigs lined up until the revelations in court. “After the startling revelations were made, they shrunk. Promoters don’t want to touch her because obviously they know what’s going on with the court case. Some of her bookings have been cancelled, because of this drama,” revealed a source. “I was booked at the same event with her, but I was shocked to find that she wouldn’t be performing anymore, because she was cancelled at the eleventh hour,” an artist, who wished to remain anonymous told ZiMoja. They don’t want to risk it by having her until she is proven innocent, keeping In mind that Senzo had a huge following, so they also don’t want to upset people.”

Kelly Khumalo

Kelly, who is signed to Universal Music, appears unbothered by the happenings in the court, but deep down she is apparently worried by what this means for her freedom and her career. “She is obviously stressed, but doesn’t want to show it, because she knows people want to see her down, because they’ve been throwing accusations against her for many years,” another source says. “She’s always painted herself as a victim in throughout this debacle, but things have changed.

Meanwhile, things are becoming more interesting in the case, as the star could be forced to take the stand to tell her side of the story. This as the defence of one of the accused has requested to subpoena the singer so she can answer questions about her alleged involvement in the case. An investigator in the murder case Sergeant Batho Mogola told the court this week during cross-examination by advocate Charles Mnisi, who is representing accused number 3 Mthobisi Mncube that that she does not know why the alleged mastermind behind the killing, who is known to the police, has not been arrested or charged. Mogola testified that according to the investigation and her briefings with the lead investigator, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, all the accused were linked to an alleged mastermind through cellphone analysis. Efforts to solicit a comment from the Empini singer drew a blank, as she didn’t revert to questions sent to her, even though she was afforded ample time to do so.

Minnie Dlamini throws shades at Kaizer Chiefs ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune

Minnie Dlamini has taken another shady shot at her Kaizer Chiefs ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune. This time, the TV star made the comments in the Showmax Roast of herself which premiered on Friday, 26 April. The mom-of-one was grilled over her relationship with the soccer star as well as her failed marriage to ex-husband Quinton Jones.

The roast included celebrity panelists Lasizwe Dambula, Trevor Gumbi, and Robert Marawa, amongst others. Comedians Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath co-hosted the event as roastmasters. Minnie and Itumeleng dated from 2010- 2014 and were once considered the industry’s favourite celeb couple.

Minnie Dlamini

During her address to the panel of celebrities and roastmasters, Minnie Dlamini finally addressed that viral TV moment where she was accused of shading her ex-boyfriend. Late last year, Minnie mocked Itumeleng Khune in an episode of her TV show Curated By Tanqueray. In a clip, she said of her ex: “No man, Khune doesn’t still play.”

Minnie Dlamini

When a crew member claimed that the famous star played as recently as the latest Soweto Derby, she added with much shock: “He STILL plays?.”Speaking in her Roast, Minnie said of her faux pas: “I made a joke about Khune last year, and I got into a lot of trouble. A lot of people were really upset.”

But instead of a heartfelt apology, Minnie attempted to mock Khune again by revisiting a clip of him misspelling the word “apologise.”

Singer Lady Zamar has revealed that she spent a year in and out of hospital.  The songstress (who recently released her new album titled Rainbow) said she lost her voice before recording the album. I lost it coming off the creation of the project, Monarch, and into 2020. My vocal cords were damaged due to swelling and a lot of discomfort. Zamar, real name Yamikani Janet Banda, said she had to undergo surgery.

“I was in a position where I had to be quiet and not speak for about a year and a half. I needed to get physiotherapy and regain my voice. Then I did three years of vocal training and learning to sing again and learn to take care of my voice.

Lady Zamar

“I have been in doctors’ rooms in 2021 and 2022 and spent the rest of the time working on getting my voice again. After her vocal surgery, Zamar revealed that she had two other operations after that and had to get her septum fixed.

“I removed my tonsils to stop me from getting infections. Later on, I suffered from a kidney problem and had to be hospitalised close to a week. It has been a lot.

“I did a lot of therapy. I saw a psychiatrist, psychologist and a physiotherapist for a year and a half and have consistent exercises that I do on a daily basis. During that time, the Love is Blind hitmaker was a victim of mob intimidation and cyberbullying on social media following the rape allegations she levelled against her ex-boyfriend, Sjava, in 2017.

Lady Zamar

According to Zamar, the Ikhandlela singer sexually assaulted her while they were together at a hotel in Limpopo. The pair were in a relationship at the time.

In 2018, the Collide singer opened a case against Sjava – who denied the rape allegations and filed an application for the matter to be heard in the high court.

“As a final statement on this matter, I write to you as my colleagues, business partners, peers and supporters to inform you that I will not be engaging on matters of assault and abuse levelled against me on social media or any other platform.

Lady Zamar

“I have instituted legal proceedings in the high court of SA, and as such, the matter is now sub judice,” he said in his statement.

In 2020, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) declined to prosecute as it believed “the facts or evidence do not support a successful prosecution,” the SowetanLIVE reported.

Everton 1-0 Brentford

Everton 1-0 Brentford. In-form Everton guaranteed their Premier League survival with three games to spare by edging to victory over lacklustre Brentford.

Sean Dyche’s side benefited from Luton losing at Wolves earlier on Saturday, and this result at Goodison Park allowed Everton to leapfrog Brentford into 15th place – 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

Idrissa Gueye was the surprise match winner, smashing home a first-time finish into the top corner on the hour mark after reacting quickest to Brentford’s defenders failing to clear the ball.

A first half severely lacking in quality was summed up by neither side being able to find a shot on target. Home midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure should have done better with a volley which he screwed wide from 10 yards.

The contest improved in the second period and Everton’s England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made an excellent stop to deny the returning Ivan Toney.

At the other end, Everton were inches away from breaking the deadlock when Dwight McNeil’s thunderous drive from long range rattled the crossbar, before Gueye’s goal ensured the Blues maintained their proud top-flight status.

Everton were crushed 6-0 at Chelsea on 15 April and faced a run of three consecutive home games which would make or break another tumultuous season.

They have bounced back from that mauling at Stamford Bridge in style, beating Nottingham Forest, Merseyside rivals Liverpool and now Brentford, all with clean sheets.

The Toffees were last relegated from the top flight in 1951 but looked in serious peril this season after receiving two points deductions totalling eight points and going on a run of 13 league games without a victory.

Dyche’s men defeated Bournemouth on the final day of last season to stay up, and beat Crystal Palace from 2-0 behind at half-time in their penultimate game of the previous season under Frank Lampard to secure safety.

Although circumstances were less dramatic this time, this was equally significant.

At full-time, Dyche strode on to the pitch and heartily applauded all four corners of the ground, knowing this was a job well done under trying circumstances.

The Blues still face an uncertain future off the pitch as a protracted takeover by 777 Partners has yet to be completed, but they can at least plan for next season knowing they will still be in the Premier League.

Gueye’s thumping goal was worthy of winning a game that was turgid in large parts, going down as another important strike from the Senegal midfielder after he opened the scoring against Forest last Sunday.

The scoreline could have been more handsome had McNeil’s thunderbolt dipped in, while James Garner also struck the crossbar in injury time with a free-kick from out wide which almost sailed in.

Brentford, meanwhile, have had to endure a tough campaign but have also staved off any threat of relegation despite this loss.

England striker Toney was back after a hip injury and should have scored with his effort that was kept out by Pickford, and the Everton goalkeeper also saved well from Keane Lewis-Potter to preserve his 12th clean sheet of the campaign.
