Pearl Thusi remembers the late rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, famously known as AKA. Taking to her Instagram stories, the veteran actress shared a photo taken with the late star and wrote a few touching words on it.
Pearl is undoubtedly hurt by AKA’s death, however, she’s grateful for the good times spent with him.
“Ready to focus on the happier times now. Losing you cut me deeper than I realised. Rest easy homie. I miss you. Thank you for the good times and the tricky (LOL),” Pearl wrote.
“Can’t turn back the clock. But we can make every second spent with you count. You lived freely and honestly, even when it made no sense to the rest of us. There’ll never be another like you. You made this life worth living. A masterpiece,” she added. On the 10th of February, dark clouds hovered over the Forbes family and the SA music industry as the rap star was shot and killed in front of a restaurant in Durban, at night, while standing with his friends.
The CCTV footage of the hideous incident circulated the media platforms and it further confirmed that he was assassinated, however, the killer is yet to be brought to justice.
