Controversial exotic dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu, is beaming with pride after revealing that her son Vuyo, has progressed to Grade 11 this year.

The dancer took to her Instagram account to congratulate Vuyo on his academic success and for making her a proud mom. She wrote “He passed, 2023 Grade 11,” she wrote. Zodwa is not one to shy away from her ‘naked hustle’. In the caption, she mentioned that Vuyo is a product of a w**re, however, fans felt she didn’t have to mention that since her hustle puts bread on the table.

In 2020, Zodwa publicly revealed that Vuyo failed Grade 8. She said she wanted him to be trained uprightly, so he repeated. The dancer was dragged on social media for making her son’s failure public. Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Zodwa said she was unbothered by the vicious trolls.

“People fail at things every day, whether big or small, women or men … So why must I hide my son’s fail? I don’t want him to hide it as well because it’s reality, it’s the truth. We face reality the way it is and move forward,” she told TshisaLIVE.

In 2021, Zodwa said she would never blame anyone for her son’s misbehavior and spoke about her parenting techniques.

“If I go to the police or his school, it’s for my son. I will never involve other kids, even if they were in a group. Ngithatha owami ngishone khona, a disciplinarian ( I would take mine and be the disciplinarian) I want him to be a better man,’’ said Zodwa.

When others questioned Zodwa about her son’s gold tooth, she came guns blazing with her clap back. She told the fan to mind their own business

“We are in hell, look at your life and the problems you have. This is my son, go look after your kids. What you feel and see, it’s none of your business and your concern. Over here these are my household basics.
