Vuyo Biyela Set to Leave “The River”

Vuyo Biyela announced exiting The River.

Taking to social media, the actor penned a lengthy note to express gratitude and bid farewell to his character, uMlilo Hlophe, the soapie, production crew, colleagues, and supporters.

The note reads:

“On the 1st of April 2022, my journey on The River began. Mlilo Hlophe was born and a year later he left the scene. The love he’s received has been nothing short of amazing. The memories we shared eish!! (Indescribable)”

“I’m typing this long-ass essay with teary eyes not because I’m sad but because I’m grateful for the opportunity that @tshedzapictures gave me to showcase my abilities and live this character.”

“It is with great sadness that I have to bid farewell to uMlilo Hlophe who has become a part of my life. Thank you to the crew, wardrobe, and make-up team, my amazing drivers, and most importantly to @paddymash for spotting me in Durban at the auditions and believing in my talent.”

“My directors ngiyabonga for guiding me and helping me grow in every possible way your efforts have never gone unnoticed I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me given that The River was my first ever big project. Hlophe Family I just want to say NGIYABONGA bo THUMBEZA nginithanda ukufa ngizokhumbula ukunisanganela nje On Set.”

“Today I bid farewell with a Royalty Soapie Award because of the platform that was given to me by the production and just know that The River will live with me for the rest of my life. My fans, I love you so much never stop supporting me because, in a world full of obstacles and all sorts of challenges, I’ve gained confidence and the drive to do more because of your love and support.
