Uncle Waffles reacts after losing to Burna Boy at the BET Awards 2023. The DJ was nominated alongside K.O, Ayra Star, Central Cee, Ella Mai, Tiakola, L7nnon, Stormzy, and Aya Nakamura for the Best International Act at the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards, BET.

Waffles’ loss excited some South Africans due to the fact that she represented her home country, Swaziland instead of SA. However, the Tanzania hitmaker snubbed the criticisms and trolls as she enjoyed the experience and appreciated the support.

“Getting to be part of this was a true blessing, I’m so grateful! And to my riders, my breakfast club, I love you guys so much! Thank you for all your support!”

Uncle Waffles also congratulated Burna Boy for his win.
