Simphiwe Ngema marks 17 years of existing in the South African entertainment industry. Taking to social media, the star announced the milestone, revealing that she started in the industry at the age of 16.
She appreciated people who have been supportive.
“I was 16years old when I started in the industry. Didn’t know what to expect and didn’t really know how drastically my life would change. I was just a young girl with big dreams (and still am). I’ve been blessed to have a big sister @sindi_dlathu that has always had my back.
“I just wanted to be a performer and I didn’t like the fame. So I stayed in my little corner, hardly made industry friends, and just kept doing me. As I grew and found myself, I then started opening up because I felt safe enough to do so.” Simz is proud of her achievement over the years.
“I am proud of the brand I’ve built. I’m proud of the woman I’ve become. Everything I’ve done has been intentional. The acting, the music, and influencing and I am at a point in my life where I am completely myself and I am fearless. This is the beginning of a new chapter.
