Shauwn Mkhize and her son, Andile Mpisane allegedly beat up a bodyguard while trying to force their way to the VIP suites at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The security guard whose name is Nkosinathi Mbanjwa says he refused to give them access as they did not possess entry tickets or accreditation to the VIP area used by high-profile personalities and celebs.
I got attacked for doing my job,” he says. “Andile and his mother kept asking me if I knew who they were and threatened to get me arrested. They assaulted me and people were scared to intervene because MaMkhize is known by high-profile people,” the 41-year-old revealed.
The guard said that Shauwn and Andile were unhappy with the match that occurred between AmaZulu FC and Royal AM, but he didn’t expect a transfer of aggression.
“I was aware of the altercation she had with AmaZulu bosses, but I was not expecting them to attack me, especially when I asked nicely for their accreditation. There was no need for her to attack and insult me,“ he adds.
Nkosinathi is set to go legal against the mother and son, as he was hustling to feed his family when they attacked him. The following day I went to open a case of assault. I am still waiting for my case number, but yesterday I got a call from the investigator asking some questions.“
