Shauwn Mkhize opens up about her newly launched book, My World, My Rules.

The book was written in a year but it took a lot of courage from the businesswoman as she opens up about her life in the memoir.

Speaking to TshishaLIVE, Shauwn says the process of writing wasn’t easy, but it brought healing to her.

“The process was never easy because it came to a point where I had to face my fears that I had and deal with them, try to send them to the reader in a way that she understood and will be able to understand and put them as they are supposed to be. You know confronting some of your fears it’s not an easy thing to do,” she said.

“It’s about healing, that’s number one because there were some parts where I haven’t healed from and I wasn’t ready to confront and face them. The first part is the healing and the second part is accepting the person that I am today and allowing whatever that’s gonna come forward to come into my life as a free person. Yes, I think I had my own therapy, the book has helped me in therapy form. You know sometimes you will sit with a therapist in front of you and try to engage a therapist who doesn’t understand your story but for me that doctor was me writing this book.”

She further explained why she delayed the launching of the book.

“The only reason I’ve been putting it on hold is because there have been many milestones I’ve been achieving on the way. I felt like the book needed to stand out and I wanted it not to be clouded with all the achievements that I have. I wanted it to stand on its own so that it gets the mileage and it gets to the people that it needs to get to. This book was a healing process for me and it was therapy for me but it can help someone else as well.

“I can tell you now that whatever is in the book is filling in the gaps because people have never known my journey. They never knew where I came from and there was a gap. They only know Mam’Mkhize that they think everything is rosy and nice so it was really imperative for me to narrate the story so that they will know where I come from, what tribulations I’ve gone through and I still woke up and I still moved on.”

 Lamiez Holworthy shares her childbirth experience in a video clip shared on social media. In March, the DJ and her husband, Khuli Chana secretly welcomed the birth of their bundle of joy without making an announcement on social media.

On the boy’s 1-month birthday, the couple announced him with photos and many congratulated them. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Lamiez shared a video detailing how she went to the hospital and delivered her baby.

She was surrounded by love from Khuli, her mom, and other family members. Khuli and Lamiez’s son name is Leano-Laone Zion Morule.

“A little while ago, I got to experience an answered prayer, one that I still marvel over. I find myself staring at him in awe, in disbelief that this perfect little human came from my body. I then get to watch his dad and my mom sing and play with him and my heart melts all over again-seeing how much joy he’s brought to all our loved ones warms my heart. This little guy really is my biggest blessing to date. My biggest flex!!! And just like that, I met the biggest part of me. My son Leano-Laone Zion Morule and nothing and no one else mattered,” Lamiez wrote in excitement.

Toni Braxton was close to having a ‘Severe heart attack’

The 55-year-old singer Toni Braxton – who was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition lupus in 2008 – dismissed the chest pains she began suffering with last year, attributing them to grief over the death of her sister, so kept postponing a medical appointment.

She said on “Today With Hoda and Jenna”: “I had some pain in my chest.

“But I was having this pain in my chest and I thought it was because I was so sad, we had just lost one of my sisters.”

The “Unbreak My Heart” singer eventually went to her appointment and was shocked after undergoing tests, which showed a problem with the main artery in her heart.

She said: “I was told that I would have had a massive heart attack. And I wouldn’t have survived.

“Even sometimes when I talk about it, I get a little emotional about it.

“Because I feel so fortunate and so blessed. And I was not going to go to that appointment. You put things off, ‘I’ll do it tomorrow. Everything’s OK. I’m sure I’m fine.”

The tests also showed Braxton’s kidneys were having trouble because of her lupus.

She said: “Having SLE, so it can attack any organ in my body. Now it’s starting to affect my kidneys.

“I’m here to talk about it, ’cause had I not did that appointment, I would not be here today talking to you guys. So I want to educate people about that.”

The Grammy-award-winning star admitted she sometimes “gets sad” over her health issues but she tries to be optimistic.

She said: “Some days I do get sad. I’m not gonna lie … some days I’m sad, but there are good and bad days. And I always try to think of the glass half full … always a silver lining.”

Though Braxton is thankful she “can still sing”, she is no longer able to tour the way she used to.

She said: “I know I’ll never be able to do shows seven days a week again, five to seven days.

“I love performing, that’s my favorite thing to do, but I can do one-offs. I can do shows here and there.”

This debate was sparked by recent family photos Lynn, Nadia, and Zinhle shared on their social media pages. They hung out with Kairo and the rest of the Forbes family. Some said Zinhle should have just dropped Kairo off and gone to be with her family. However, this did not make sense to many.

“Bongani is the most real man I’ve ever known. There are so many people going at him on social media saying he is weak. But I tell you that that is what a real man is all about”.

She also went on to speak on the confusing relationship between Nadia Nakai, DJ Zinhle, and Forbes.

“In this family, we don’t bring people in, they step into their light, and they find their space. There is space for everybody. You just need to find your spot. The way she [Nadia] treated him, the way she loved him. She was capable of love because of the way she loved herself.”

“We’re just going to keep on loving each other, and whoever can’t deal with it, it’s their problem.”

DJ Zinhle also defended her decision to hang around with the Forbes family saying she is still going to shock people if they continue to stick their noses in her business.

“I feel like a lot of people have opinions on situations they have never been in, in their lives. There is a big chance that the person who asked me about AKA has never lost someone that they are raising a child with,” she said.

Zinhle added, “Guys I’m still gonna shock people. I even joked with Nadia and said when your boyfriend comes, he must come here we are all a blended family. I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along. Why?”

In light of the upcoming reunion, the biggest question was who will be the reunion host for this season. Therefore, as the countdown towards the highly anticipated season three finale, Showmax has confirmed who the host of the season three reunion of The Real Housewives of Durban is set to be.

Showmax confirms MaBlerh as RHODurban’s latest reunion host

When Showmax put out the poll for who the viewers believed deserved to be the host of season three’s reunion episode, the guess was not Mthokozisi “MaBlerh” Cele, who was the host of The Real Housewives of Gqebherhe season one.

However, for the television and radio personality, hosting the reunion episode is a full-circle moment. This is as in February 2022, MaBlerh had taken to Twitter to put it out into the universe that he wanted to be the host.

As such, reflecting on the opportunity, the cousin to Minnie Dlamini was quoted as saying:

“I jumped at this opportunity as a Durbanite…The reunion of The Real Housewives has never been hosted by someone from Durban before, someone who understands the landscape and social dynamics of us as Durbanites.”

Showmax shared their decision on choosing MaBleh as the host of the reunion as Let it Rain Films’ executive producer, Sam Kelly was quoted as explaining that:

“We chose MaBlerh because he is a big fan of the show. He understands the world of The Real Housewives, which has become a pop culture phenomenon, and is genuinely interested in it.

We believe that he will bring the strong presence we need to host this reunion with care, tact and maturity, as the conversations will tackle the themes that have come up throughout the season.

Moreover, the shared official statement finally confirmed that similar to the season two reunion, season three’s will be hosted as a two-part special. As such, part one of the reunion is set to be made available on Wednesday, 3 May 2023, and part two will be available the following week on Wednesday, 10 May 2023.

While Showmax has not teased what to expect from the reunion episodes, Sanelisiwe “Sane the Chef” Bhengu was more than forthcoming during an Instagram Live session a day after the official recording of the reunion special. As reported:
