Azealia Banks Sides With Drake In Beef Against ‘Fake Gangsta’ Kendrick Lamar

Azealia Banks has chosen a side in the ongoing beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, and her choice is perhaps unsurprising. Taking to her Instagram stories on Friday (May 3), the controversial rapper-turned-commentator addressed the Compton native as a “nepo baby” and made it clear she prefers the 6 God, responding to a Billboard magazine post that read “Kendrick’s response was worth the wait.”

Azealia Banks

“No, it was not,” she wrote. “Kendrick is still 4’9” and wears the same jean size as me. No one on earth cares about the feelings of small, fake gangsta nepo babies.”

She continued: “@billboard y’all are paid for. Even the tone and timbre of Kendrick’s voice is an ultimate defeat. Lol, stop lying.”

This take on Drake is a complete about-face from her previous opinion of the Toronto native.

Back in October 2023, soon after Drake clapped back at Joe Budden’s criticism of For All the Dogs, she chimed in to offer her thoughts about the OVO boss asserting his success. On October 9, Banks wrote a lengthy post of her own to counter Drizzy’s from two days before.

Azealia Banks

“Does Drake know his nose job and liposuction is not Hip Hop??” she shared on her Instagram Story. “Does Drake know that no one who actually understands Hip Hop — a culture born from oppressed, don’t reeeeeeeeallly care about his soft-toothed colonized confused mixed-race facsimile attempts to exhibit the true authenticity of an actual MC?

“Does Drake know his desperate attempts to gangsterize Canadian ‘street life’ is an all-encompassing failure in and of itself?”

The New York City rapper also aimed at Birdman, who was quick to back Drake in the aforementioned spat with Budden.

Azealia Banks

“Does Birdman know how low IQ, tacky and how much of a fucking loser he looks threatening Joe Budden via the internet,” Azealia Banks wrote in a subsequent IG Story. “Can u just make some more lug and quit threatening people online before you get arrested?”

She continued: “Shit like that really makes the genre look trashy and low budget as hell… and sorry… you’ve kinda just made it so hot that if anything happens to Joe Budden it’s certainly getting traced back to you and Drake. LOL.

“Loved ur verse on ‘constantly hating’ but it has been a minute since anyone cared for your music, and Drake is redundant as hell. Only weird nepo babies and Eastern European immigrants who wear USS polo association, cool water, and media fuck boys actually care for him.”

Azealia Banks

She then switched to an entirely different ordeal, writing: “Work some magic and bring back young thug please.., that man is very very special.”

In conclusion, she circled back to Drake for one final blow: “Honestly, if Drake’s mother was black he’d probably not be so corny. White mom syndrome is very real.”

AL Green Responds To Kendrick Lamar Sampling Him On ‘6:16 IN LA’ Drake Diss

Al Green is sampled in Kendrick Lamar‘s newest diss to Drake, “6:16 In LA,” and it garnered a response from the legend himself. Released in the early hours of Friday (May 3), the Sounwave and Jack Antonoff-produced track samples Green’s 1972 classic, “What a Wonderful Thing Love Is.”

Al Green

Though he kept it simple in his post, Green shared the original song to his Twitter/X page shortly after K. Dot dropped “6:16 In LA.”

Just days after releasing the explosive “Euphoria,” Kendrick Lamar dropped “6:16 in LA” — a play on Drake’s timestamp song series — on his Instagram page on Friday (May 3).

Rapping over the aforementioned Al Green sample, K. Dot fires off another barrage of shots at the 6 God, claiming that there are Judases among his disciples.

Al Green

“Conspiracies about cash, dawg, that’s not even the leak/ Find the jewels like Kash Doll, I just need you to think/ Are you finally ready to play ‘Have you ever?’ let’s see/ Have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?” he raps, responding to Drake’s claim on “Push Ups” that he was being extorted by his former label boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.

“Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person/ Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it/ Can’t Toosie Slide up out of this one, it’s just gonna resurface/ Every dog gotta have his day, now live in your purpose.”

Kendrick also accuses Drake of “harassing” people within his camp and trying to dig up dirt on him.

Al Green

“It was fun until you started to put money in the streets/ They lost money ’cause they came back with no receipts/ I’m sorry that I live a boring life, I love peace/ But war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed,” he spits.

“The Elohim, K. T. W. know you can’t sleep/ These images trouble you, know the wires in your circle should puzzle you/ If you were street smart then you woulda caught that your entourage is only to hustle you.”

Kendrick even takes aim at Akademiks, who is not only a vocal Drake supporter but has served as the Toronto rapper’s unofficial mouthpiece throughout the feud.

This is How to make shea butter hair cream

0

Natural hair girlies all know the struggle when it comes to growing long, healthy natural hair. Dryness, breakage, and split ends can be especially frustrating.

Here’s where a good homemade shea butter hair cream comes in. Shea butter is packed with fatty acids and vitamins that deeply nourish and moisturise your strands, promoting healthy growth and preventing breakage. Making your own shea butter hair cream allows you to control exactly what goes into your product, avoiding harsh chemicals or ingredients. Plus, it’s a fun and budget-friendly way to pamper your natural hair

Why shea butter hair cream for long hair?
Shea butter is a natural emollient, meaning it locks in moisture and keeps your hair hydrated. It’s also rich in vitamins A and E, which promote scalp health and hair growth.

Additionally, shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe an itchy scalp. While shea butter is a star ingredient, it can sometimes feel a little heavy on its own. To create the perfect creamy consistency and add extra benefits, we’ll be combining it with some other hair-loving ingredients:

Coconut oil: This lightweight oil penetrates deep into the hair shaft, providing additional moisture and promoting shine.
Sweet almond oil: Rich in vitamin E, sweet almond oil helps strengthen hair and adds a touch of slip, making detangling a breeze. Essential oils (optional): Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil for a delightful scent and potential additional benefits. Lavender oil is calming and promotes relaxation, while rosemary oil is known to stimulate hair growth. Ready to whip up some hair magic? Here’s what you’ll need:

Shea butter (raw or yellow shea butter works best)
Coconut oil (solid, at room temperature)
1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
Essential oils (optional – a few drops)
Hand mixer (electric or battery-powered)
Mixing bowl
Airtight container for storage
Instructions
1. Melt it gently: Using a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over simmering water, melt the shea butter and coconut oil together. Be patient, it can take a few minutes for the shea butter to melt completely. Make sure the water isn’t boiling, and avoid overheating the oils, as this can damage their properties.

2. Cool it down: Once melted, remove the bowl from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. You want it to be warm but not hot to the touch.

3. Whip it: Here comes the fun part! Using your electric hand mixer, start whipping the cooled oil mixture at medium speed.

Gradually increase the speed to high and continue whipping until the mixture becomes light, fluffy, and doubled in volume. This will take a few minutes.

4. Add oils and flavour: If using essential oils, add them now and continue whipping for another minute to incorporate them evenly.

5. Scoop and store: Transfer your beautiful whipped shea butter cream to an airtight container. Store it in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Now, let’s talk application
For the best part – using your creation. Here are some tips for applying your shea butter hair cream:

A little goes a long way: Start with a dime-sized amount of cream and apply it to your fingertips.
Less is more: Apply the cream to damp hair, focusing on the ends which are most prone to dryness. You can work your way up the hair shaft, but avoid applying too close to the scalp as it can make hair look greasy.
Seal the deal: After applying the cream, lock in moisture with a leave-in conditioner or hair oil.

Weekly treat: Use your shea butter cream as a weekly deep conditioner or a daily moisturiser for dry hair.
Growing long, healthy natural hair takes time and dedication. But with consistent use of your homemade shea butter hair cream, combined with a healthy diet and a good hair care routine, you’ll be well on your way to achieving those hair goals.

Bonus tip: This shea butter hair cream recipe can also be used as a body moisturiser for extra hydration.

Legendary boxer Dingaan Thobela’s ex-wife Sandra discusses his relationship with his two children. Thobela lost his fight to an undisclosed illness on Monday, 29 April in his flat in Mayfair, Johannesburg. He was 57 years. Dingaan Thobela’s ex-wife and mother of his children, Sandra tells Sowetan that his children didn’t know where he lived.

Sandra and Dingaan have two children, a daughter called Ntombi, who is attending university in Spain, and a son named Dingaan Junior. Speaking to the publication this week, Sandra says the biggest issue was that Dingaan did not tell his children where he stayed. She told him that he must tell his children where he stays before he died.

Thobela’s ex-wife also adds that his children are not okay and she’s not okay. She will do her best to make sure that she brings his children back home. She shares blood with Dingaan Thobela and she’s heart broken by his passing.

Dingaan Thobela

Sunday World reported in 2014 that Sandra claimed Dingaan fathered three children out of wedlock with a Johannesburg woman. When she discovered this she was devastated because she never thought he would betray her like that.

The Citizen reports that Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa this week paid tribute to the world boxing champion, Dingaan Thobela.

“Thobela fought in some of the most memorable bouts, such as the fights against Tony Lopez for the WBA lightweight title and against Glenn Catley to win the WBC super-middleweight title. Through his success and popularity, Thobela was one of the world’s standout fighters in a golden period of South African boxing.”

“As we celebrate 30 years of South African democracy, we mourn the loss of an athlete who did so much to elevate South African sport through his success in boxing. We also celebrate a champion boxer who inspired the nation, future boxers and champions from Soweto, Mdantsane, Thohoyandou, and other parts of the country.”

The boxer’s friends defended him this week after speculations that Thobela, who was a businessman and once owned a funeral parlour died penniless.

Bongani Magasela tells Zimoja he’s disappointed by the narrative that Thobela was a pauper. He adds that people are making assumptions because he was found in a flat. That’s one of his many flats. Dingaan was fine. He even had a farm. He sold his house in Sandton after his divorce,” says Magasela.

Dingaan Thobela

@no1commentator: “They say never meet your heroes to avoid disappointment, but I did and Dingaan Thobela was fabulous. He was a bright, funny and articulate boxing world champion. His legacy lives on. May he RIP.”

@TKwenaite: “When the “Rose of Soweto” Dingaan Thobela was in full bloom and brought honour to the country by winning the WBA crown. So gutted he passed on yesterday following an undisclosed illness. May his family and friends be comforted and may his soul rest be eternal.”

@mageba_sthembz: “It’s both sad and shocking to me that he was found dead and alone. I know this happens more often than not especially with celebrities. But it always deepens the pain.

Benzino Claims that R. Kelly Shouldn’t Rot In Jail For 30 Years

0

Benzino believes that R. Kelly is being treated unfairly after the latter was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in 2022. During an appearance on the We In Miami podcast that was published on Wednesday (April 24), the media proprietor talked about redemption in the context of male artists having sexual relations with girls who are below the age of consent.

Benzino

“Everybody deserves a second chance,” he said when asked about the Chicago native. “The legal age is 16 years old, so does that make it right if a n-gga does it, yes or no?”

When the women around the table all collectively agreed that it was still wrong, he continued: “Alright, but it’s legal in America, so why the fuck is R. Kelly doing all this time? Because you know why? Because they’re 14 and 13 — two years younger — but you don’t think that the people who cleared it for 16 years old didn’t know that they’re fucking with 13s and 14s, too.

“Like even to make [an] age that young to be the law, you already know they’re going under that. I’m not condoning n-ggas fucking with little girls — it’s sick, alright, it’s sick, it’s sick — but I don’t think R. Kelly should rot in jail for 30 years either.”

Benzino

The 58-year-old added: “What about R. Kelly getting molested when he was a kid? They didn’t take [that into] consideration […] They exploited him and made all these documentaries that all these people made money off of.

“Them parents of the girls knew what they were dealing with, with R. Kelly — a lot of people knew that shit, y’know what I’m saying? — but R. Kelly wasn’t educated, man. Like when does that come into play?

Watch the former co-owner of The Source discuss the disgraced vocalist at the 12:32 mark below:

Likewise, Boosie Badazz was also quite upset about R. Kelly’s three-decade sentence. The Baton Rouge rapper admitted the R&B veteran was “wrong” for what he did and that he deserves to serve time behind bars, though he also argued that his crimes don’t warrant such a lengthy term.

“People getting 15/20 years for murder n he gets 30!!” he tweeted. “Yes he was wrong af for manipulating young girls n sexing them but he didn’t kill anyone, aggravated rape anyone. N no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man!! College professors get probation for this shit.

“Get this man some help n some jail time but don’t give him a death sentence,30 years !! Maybe he can get out one day n warn these young girls about older predators n make a difference. but 30 years like Come on world!!”

Benzino

He even pointed the finger at the parents of Kelly’s victims, posting a screenshot of a court document that alleged one of the underage girls’ mother “engineered [her] relationship” with the singer and “actively misled [him] about her age.”

Soon after the “Ignition” hitmaker was sent to prison, Boosie also called him the “best to ever do it” as he danced along to songs from his leaked project, I Admit It.

The first social-media video featured him smiling and bobbing his head as the artist details a conversation with Wendy Williams on the three-part title track.

“She said, ‘What about Aaliyah,’ I said, ‘Love’/ She said, ‘What about the tape,’ I said, ‘Hush’/ I said, ‘My lawyers said don’t say [nothin] but I can tell you that I have been set up,” he sings on the joint, which was previously released on Soundcloud back in 2018.

Benzino
