Bonang Matheba has revealed that she is collecting her cheques from YouTuber Rea Gopane following his defamatory statements made about the media personality. Bonang sued Rea after he claimed to have received intel from Scoop Makhathini regarding AKA’s alleged drug usage and claimed that Scoop told him Bonang introduced him to drugs, who then later allegedly introduced those drugs to the late Anele Tembe. Unfortunately leading to her untimely demise.
Rea was adamant that Bonang will not be getting a cent from him and continued to speak ill about her even after being instructed that he should keep her name out from her mouth.
Recent news regarding Musa Khawula suggests that he got sued by a photographer for half a million, even after repeatedly saying people should not sue him because he does not have it. A tweep asked what happens when a person gets sued but they have no means to pay the money.
Bonang responded by saying Rea Gopane is paying the R300 000 she sued him for in instalments every month. She then added that should Rea purchase a car or a house, she will attach that to her as well. He’s paying in monthly instalments. One day he’ll need a car or house. I’ll attach that too,” she responded. Previously Rea said he would rather burn his mother than pay Bonang anything.
“I would much rather burn every single Rand that I will ever make in my entire life than give it to that other queen of yours, literally set it on fire.”
The jabs at Bonang kept on coming when Rea said Bonang is good at deceiving people, “Y’all don’t even realize Bonang is just using your sheep behaviour to stay relevant in the eyes of the public. She’s great at it no lie but what surprises is how people just keep falling for it.”

In the letters Rea received, Bonang denied all the allegations made against her, “On Sunday 9 May 2021 you falsely and unlawfully accused Bonang Matheba in a widely published video clip of, inter alia, having introduced AKA (Kieman Jarryd Forbes) to cocaine. In the context of what was being discussed in the video clip this defamatory allegation was exacerbated by the shocking insinuation that the death of AKA’s girlfriend Anele (Nellie) Tembe was due to AKA’s alleged use of cocaine.
“The allegations were defamatory, hurtful and were deliberately intended to humiliate my client and undermine her reputation. The allegations are also, to your knowledge false. Your false utterances are compounded by the fact that at the time of making them on a public platform, you knew full well that these utterances would be widely viewed given my client’s high public profile.+
