Rachel Kolisi, the wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, revealed that she and her family will be returning to South Africa for the first time since their move to Paris in August. The Springboks will play against England in the Rugby World Cup semi-final on Saturday 21 October.
Springboks first lady Rachel Kolisi revealed that her family will be returning to South Africa in eight days, for the first time since their move to Paris, France in August. The Kolisi’s moved to Paris ahead of Siya Kolisi joining French team Racing 92 after the Rugby World Cup.
So, why is the family returning to South Africa? Rachel revealed that their trip to South Africa is for a family wedding, via an Instagram post on Saturday 21 October. Could this be her brother’s wedding? Rachel’s brother Joel Smith is engaged to Olympic swimmer Tatjana Shoenmaker. It is unclear when the pair intend on tying the knot.
“9 weeks ago, we moved from Durban, South Africa to Paris, France. Challenging would be a MASSIVE understatement, but yesterday the kids started their first half term school holiday, and it felt like such a big accomplishment for all of us ,” she wrote.
“In 8 days we’re on a plane home for a family wedding and we can’t wait! Thank you for all the kind messages, support, advise and recommendations ! I’ve read most of them and appreciate every single one! ,” she continued.
