Omuhle Gela out of upcoming reality show

Omuhle Gela will not be part of the Tropika Islands Of Treasure reality show. Months ago, it was announced that the actress was one of the stars who would be on the show, but she apologised for the new decision made.

A statement confirming that Omuhle withdrew herself from the 11th season of the competition show was released on social media.

Read the full statement below:

“I write with great regret to inform you that I have made the difficult decision to ask Tropika Island of Treasure production to recast me for the upcoming season. After much consideration and discussion with my acting agent, management team and production, it has become apparent that my involvement in a new upcoming television series will conflict with the shooting schedule for Tropika Island of Treasure. I want to extend my deepest apologies to the entire team, my devoted supporters, and everyone who has been rooting for me.

As an actress returning to the screen following a year-long break off screen, my team and I have given careful thought to my next professional steps. It is with sincere and heartfelt gratitude that I express my appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of Tropika Island of Treasure, and I was eagerly anticipating the show.

However, we have concluded that prioritizing a longer acting contract in my professional field is in my best interest.

I am truly grateful for the support and encouragement that I have received, and I hope to have your understanding and continued support in this difficult decision. I extend my best wishes to the production of Tropika Island of Treasure Season 11, and I sincerely hope that you all enjoy the forthcoming season. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and understanding.
