Naledi Aphiwe received over R50k for her sample on Chris Brown’s song Shooter
Naledi Aphiwe reportedly received $3000 (approximately R56 000) for her appearance on Chris Brown’s song, Shooter,
The single is off the new album 11:11 which was released last week.In October 2022, the international musician endorsed a video of her singing a rather sorrowful song from the perspective of a young girl who’s being sexually abused by her father.
Speaking to TshishaLIVE, the 17-year-old narrated how the video was recorded and how it surfaced on social media.
“I was in my classroom during examinations but that day we were not doing anything. We were bored. We decided to sing and our class teacher came inside. We were scared he would shout so when he entered we kept quiet but he told us to carry on. When we sang he took his phone and made a clip. If it was not for my teacher I wouldn’t be able to fulfil my dreams.”
