The riches of Lebo M, the producer of award-winning hit production The Lion King, have been saved after all. The 60-year-old businessman protected his wealth when he got married to his estranged wife, Pretty Angeline Morake, née Samuels on February 26, 2022 in Durban. Lebo M, real name Lebogang Morake, got married to Samuels and the former couple were married to each other Out of Community of Property.
ZiMoja saw the divorce settlement between Lebo M and Morake where both parties agreed that were married to each other Out of Community of Property with an antenuptial, subject to an accrual system. The divorce settlement, signed at the South Gauteng High Court, partly said: “The parties acknowledge that their marriage relationship has broken down irretrievably and reached such a state of disintegration that there are no prospects of the restoration of a normal marriage relationship between them.
Before becoming Mr and Mrs Morake, the lovers worked together at Lebo M Foundation. Last year, the couple spent most of the year in and our of courts, with Samuels even taking the Soweto-born producer to CCMA to demand unpaid salaries. There were also accusations of witchcraft levelled against Samuels by Lebo M during their domestic squabbles in 2023. Lebo M is not budging and he is adamant he is not going to pay her. Lebo M has denied that he has been ordered by the high court to pay Samuels a sum of R150 000 a month as part of their divorce settlement. He claimed that Samuels is “mad and cheated on me with another man.
This will be Lebo M’s fourth divorce after ending her union with former partners: Viveca Gibson, Nandi Ndlovu, twice to Angela Ngani-Casar and engaged twice to actress and former Pop Idols star Zoe Mthiyane and Malefu Ntsala.
