Meek Mill has been roasted over an outlandish outfit that he wore to the Philadelphia 76ers’ playoff game against the New York Knicks. The Philly rapper attended Thursday night’s (May 2) contest wearing a tight-fitting long-sleeved top that was partially see-through, paired with baggy leather shorts.
The ensemble, which Meek posted himself on Instagram, led to an abundance of jokes being made at his expense, particularly after he was accused of having a sexual relationship with Diddy.
One person joked in the comments section: “The shirt ain’t helping the accusations,” while another said: “Meek bro I’ve been tryna defend these allegations to my homies but this zesty shirt ain’t helping.”
Someone else compared Meek to openly gay rapper Saucy Santana: “Why was he outside dressed like Saucy Santana?”
A fourth user joked: “Philly lost twice in the same night,” referencing the Sixers’ 118-115 loss to the Knicks that eliminated them from the first round of the playoffs.
Meek later responded to the jokes on his Instagram Stories, writing: “The propaganda doesn’t even want me wearing Rick lol,” referencing the designer Rick Owens.
The MMG rapper previously denied he was gay after he matched the description of a rapper named in producer Lil Rod’s sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy who allegedly had sex with the Bad Boy boss.
“I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky ass molly … nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy …. No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped … woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I’m coming! Lol,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“That’s why I always come around all these industry n-ggas with my real friends. You never catch me around anybody from the industry alone..you can’t even hold a convo without my dawgs stepping in the room it’s been that way … I can’t til yall find out I’m the illest in this shit lol.”
He added: “The 2 things they say … we snitching or we gay ….we generating 100’s of millions from music it’s not a coincidence we all gay and snitches …. They are powering this stuff even if it’s fake! The goal is to disrupt the hip-hop community…. I own this music that drops tomar play it!!!!!”
Meek continued to deny the allegation, even after he was proven to have followed a gay porn page on social media.
