Makhadzi gets emotional after being endorsed by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The singer performed at the Netball World Cup closing in Cape Town on Sunday. The President of the country, SA was in attendance with other dignitaries.

Cyril blatantly enjoyed her performance as he was smiling ear to ear while watching her perform as seen in a video shared by the Ghanama hit maker. The President met with the singer and her team after the event and celebrated them for being great performers.

An emotional Makhadzi shared the video on social media and pointed out her heart in the caption, appreciating her loyal fans and those who have been supportive of her.

“Last night i cried so much guy  i just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who have shown me support all these years. Firstly God is the greatest, for all his grace.”

Then my day 1 fans who have been with me through the hard and the nice times ..thank you so much guys, iam here because of what you do for me. I also just want to thank myself for being me. For being strong and never give up. Today I can shake hands with the President and he tells me straight in the face that i am a great performer. Thank you thank you thank you … I am happy, now i can work on my album with energy,” she wrote.

In other news – Bonang Matheba to host Miss SA 2023

Media personality Bonang Matheba returns to host the Miss SA 2023 finale. She hosted the pageant back in 2018 and in 2019 when Zozibini Tunzi took the title and was later crowned Miss Universe.

Bonang was also on the judging panel of Miss SA in 2014, when Rolene Strauss took the title and later went on to be crowned Miss World.  Read more
