Loyiso “Lloyiso” Gijana was first introduced as a teenager with an angelic voice on Idols South Africa. However, similar to the story of those that did not win the soon-to-be-canceled singing competition. Losing seemed to have worked to his advantage.
This comes as Lloyiso made history back in 2021 when it was reported that:

Taking to Instagram to share the big news, Lloyiso announced that he has been signed to Republic Records.
Lloyiso is officially joining the likes of Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke, Ariana Grande, and many other international superstars signed under Republic Records…
Lloyiso told TshisaLive that when he found out that Republic Records wanted to sign him, he kept it under wraps until it was official.
“…Because I didn’t want to get too excited and honestly, it was just so surreal. After I knew that things were being finalized, I told my closest friends and family members.”He also told the publication that he aims to use this opportunity to change people’s lives.
“With this international platform, I am going to make more people cry, haha, but on a serious note, I will be able to share my music on a global stage and change people’s lives through my vulnerability in music.”
Now it seems that more than just achieving that with his own fanbase. It seems that Lloyiso’s music is also getting recognition from major US hitmakers and stars.
