Lira finally did her first interview on The Upside of Failure on Radio 702 hosted by seasoned broadcaster Relebogile Mabotja.

Speaking about her first experience with stroke, she said: “The sensation lasted about 15 minutes. It wasn’t painful. It was an uncomfortable feeling in my head. I walked into a restaurant, and I wanted to ask them where my hotel was.”

The Feel Good singer said she cried as she was still young to be diagnosed with such an illness. However, the illness has made the singer value life more and make her health a priority.

“Wow. I was shocked. I’m too young to have a stroke. Not me. Not me. Not me. I cried. I cried because how was I going to tell my parents? I was alone.”

Lira

“It’s made me value life a bit more. When you have [a] stroke, it calms you from the stress of life. When I’m stressed, I can’t speak, so it is important for me to keep calm and peaceful.”
