Brickz’s son is stepping into the music industry, following in his father’s footsteps. Embracing his musical heritage, he is working on building his own career and making a name for himself.

South African kwaito star Brickz is worried about his 16-year-old son, Gugulethu Cleopas Ndlovu, also known as Google Da DJ, prioritizing his music career over his education. Despite Gugulethu’s success as a DJ, Brickz fears that the demands of fame might distract him from his studies.
This has led to a family disagreement, with some members, including Gugulethu’s grandmother Adelaide Mabaso, suggesting he balance both pursuits by focusing on education first.
His father named him after his mentor Cleopas ‘DJ Ceo’ Monyepao, who helped change his life and open doors in his music career. Although Gugulethu says his dad is not too keen on him doing music, he can’t escape that it runs in his blood. “It’s embedded in me. I got it from my father,” Gugulethu tells ZiMoja. “I got the musical gene from him and I can’t ignore it.
