Kid Cudi Shares X-Rays Of Broken Foot After Coachella Fall

Kid Cudi has shown his fans what, exactly, a post-Coachella fall looks like, and it’s nothing pretty. The multihyphenate took to Instagram on Thursday (May 9) to show off his new boot — a customized cast made to isolate his broken foot so it can heal properly. In the next slide, he showed just how many screws needed to go into his foot to set it in place: a total of 10 screws.

“Got my boot!” he wrote in the caption. “The road to recovery has begun. Here are some xrays after the surgery, I wanted yall to see how real this shit was. I’m a cyborg now.”

Check out the post below.

The 40-year-old rapper and singer ended up breaking his foot when he jumped off the stage during his last-minute performance at the festival in California, though he learned a valuable lesson in the process.

“Um, yeah. Shit got real yesterday,” he said while lying in bed. “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26 like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson — no more prancing around and jumping off stages.

“I’m hoping that I’ll be healed up in time for the tour. That’s the plan. I don’t wanna let you guys down, so yeah, that’s what we’re aiming for. Not canceling anything just yet.

He continued: “Just gonna wait and see how things go. But I’m okay; a little sore. Yesterday was a lot of pain, but I’m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel.

“This is a major setback. But don’t worry, I’ma bounce back. I love y’all, all day! Engage the rage, but not at 40.”

Shortly after he broke his foot, Kid Cudi shared a message on social media in which he told his fans and followers that he wouldn’t be able to recover in time for the “Insano: Engage The Rage” world tour later this summer.

“Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus,” he wrote. “I’m headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. There’s just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%.

“The injury is much more serious than I thought. Anyone who bought tickets will get a full refund, you’ll get an email soon. We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support.”

He concluded: “I’m really disappointed as I’m sure you guys are too, but I will be back. That’s a promise [wink emoji, pink-hearts emoji, heart-shaped hand-gesture emoji] I’m ok, just a little soreness, but I’m in good spirits [blushing emoji].”
