Following his battle with his estranged record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, Intaba Yase Dubai has revealed that he is taking a break from music.
The musician has revealed that he has found a stable job to make ends meet. The Imali Eningi hitmaker claims that he is sick of working as a slave and wants a steady job.
“I wish you to know that I love you all the time. I have trusted you till today, in everything we went through together I just wish you believe me when I say I don’t blame you and the experience was amazing. You taught me how to be strong. I appreciate you. As you know we have built ourselves a lot of enemies. Even our lifestyle has changed. We now seek for protection 24/7 because they want to keep us as slaves forever.
The performer stated that although he is taking a break, he is still available for gigs and other ventures.
“Let’s take a break. It’s time to accept we have failed, let’s try something else and move on in life. To everyone who loved and supported me from day one, know that I love you and I’m not giving up but I have to start something new in order to survive. I’m still available for performances. To projects I have promised you, wish to put them on hold till further notice,” he said.
“I got myself a job. And I promise one day if ever we will be free from this jail we are in. I’ll give you music as I won’t stop recording since I love writing music. For now, let’s accept another chapter in my life. I have a lot of work as a Director at 3Point7 Ent and I hope you will support our new kids as they are about to take off. And God bless you for building me to become the man I am now. And I would like to say thank you for your support. It’s time I go back behind the scenes where my heart has always been. To everyone who will get a chance to work with us, Cheers,” he concluded.
His fans took to the comments section to show him love and support as he takes on a full-time job.
Intaba Yase Dubai left tongues wagging in April 2022 after he took to social media to claim that he did not receive R1 from Big Zulu Imali Eningi featuring him and the late Riky Rick.
“Nothing in this world beats the pain of watching another man gain a lot of money from your hard work, while you are broke. I’m sorry but I hate features with all of my heart. Coz you have to act like we are all ok while only an individual is…” he claimed. “Mali Eningi has reached over 12 Million streams. But I’m broke. Never got even R1.”
Big Zulu then released a statement to set the record straight. According to him, they paid Ambitiouz Entertainment to compensate him for his share. Furthermore, he said that Nkabi Records paid the disgraced stable R94, 527, 31 over three payments between November 5th and February 11th. However, the label argued that the amount was not enough, since they would have to split the amount into 3 amounts to pay the artist, SAMRO, and get their share.
After that, Intaba Yase Dubai declared in a statement that he was done with music but that, after giving it some thought, he would rather quit Ambitiouz than music. When he announced his departure from the stable, he rattled the crowd.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my supporters for the support, my family, close friends, taxi owners, taxi drivers, Promoters, music industry colleagues, and the Media Houses.”
“Would also like to announce that I and Ambitiouz Entertainment have parted ways. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity and platform they gave me when no one did. Like I said before I am not fighting anyone or Ambitiouz, I don’t like uncertainty. I Almost gave up on music because I was not paid what I deserve and what I worked hard for,” he wrote.
He claimed that the stable was paying him R3700 a month but the Ambitiouz denied the claims. “Last year I was depressed and frustrated because I was gigging almost every weekend, but come month end I get paid R3,700? After in-depth reflection on my career, I won’t quit music, I love it and I am passionate about it, most importantly that’s the only source I have to feed my family,” he claimed.
