Heavy K whose real name is Mkhululi Siqula will be retiring from the South African music industry this year. The musician will be dropping a final album which he has been working on over the past months. Taking to Instagram, the producer says it’s a mixed feeling for him, working on his last project titled, Respect The Drumboss.
“I’m emotional & happy, proud at the same time, thinking about where I come from with you guys! Seems like it was yesterday when I dropped my first album “Respect The Drumboss 2013” so this year I’m dropping the very last “Respect The Drumboss Album” which is RTD2023 It’s been such a pleasure being with you guys on this RTD journey! But it’s time for new beginnings & heights for the brand “HEAVY-K” he wrote.
Fans flooded the post with emotional comments.
“This is definitely bittersweet. You’ve played such a big role in many’s lives since their young ages (me very much included). I could never forget your era from 2013 going forward. Thank you so much for giving us ‘Heavy K – The Drumboss’ ❤️ Waiting patiently for RTD2023. May you flourish and go higher in your future endeavors,” a fan wrote.
