DJ Sbu reflects on the genesis of Mofaya brand

DJ Sbu whose real name Sibusiso Leope motivated his supporters by giving a glimpse of Mofaya’s genesis. The businessman started the energy drink brand and it’s blossomed to being one of the biggest black-owned drink brands in South Africa. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of the establishment in 2014 and captioned it with, “2014 how it all started.

Sbu’s recently reacted to people questioning the ownership of the Mofaya brand. I’d like to confirm and say you are correct. It definitely isn’t mine because Mofaya is yours. I’m OK and you can just call me a brand ambassador, you can call me a hustler, you can call me an entrepreneur. Ultimately, language is man-made. I’m just proud of the team at Mofaya,” he said.
