DJ Euphonik has been dragged to court by one of his baby mamas for failing to provide for his children. According to Sunday World, the baby mama petitioned the Joburg high court to give her an order that will force Euphonik to pay R25 000 in maintenance for their two children, among others.
I pause to state that, although I am aware that maintenance must be dealt with separately and at a correct forum, the respondent, who is hugely a successful international and local DJ, and who earns and owns significantly more than I do, pays only school fees for our two children,” read the papers.
She claimed to have requested money for the health care of their son, but he refused. Indeed, he has recently accused me of neglecting our son’s dentistry but when I asked for help from him to pay the costs of the imminent appointment, he refused.
“I submit this gives an idea of the type of person I am dealing with, who is more interested in his ‘rights’ than his ‘responsibilities’ and more interested in what he wants than what is best for, and needed by the children,” she said in the papers.
The baby mama wants Euphonik to pay R12 500 per month for each child. The money, which she wants paid into her account, should increase by 5% annually or be in line with the South African consumer price index as of January 1. She also wants him to continue with the payment of their school fees
