Cardi B and Offset Respond to Rumors Of Rocky Romance In New Single Jealousy

Cardi B and Offset’s relationship appears to be back on track as the pair have shared news of a fresh song arriving later this week. On Wednesday (July 26), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper shared an image of her with her husband in which they seem to be leaning into the recent theatrics surrounding their marriage.

The post is captioned: “Jealousy out Friday… Link in bio.” Considering the IG photo of the couple has a Parental Advisory label on it, it will most likely be the cover art for the upcoming single.

Offset recently paid homage to James Brown by spoofing one of the late soul legend’s most famous interviews to promote the single, during which he also took a moment to laugh off reports of “drama” between him and his wife.

The hilarious interview was posted to his Instagram on Monday (July 24) and featured an appearance from Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Lee Curtis, who conducted the interview.

“Your fans are saying there’s a lot of drama between you and your beautiful wife, Cardi B,” Curtis said. “HAAAA!” Offset replied while channeling the Godfather of Soul, wig and all.

“Okay, you’re not gonna answer my fucking question, are you?” the Halloween actor responded, growing annoyed.

The hilarious duo then went back and forth, with the Migos rapper barely acknowledging Jamie Lee Curtis’ questions and instead yelling out random phrases and lyrics.

“Let’s talk about some music,” he finally said before the interview cut off, with a message reading: “July 28th,” which is the release date for “Jealousy.”

The teaser arrived not too long after Cardi claimed during a Twitter Spaces conversation back in June that she would happily divorce Offset if he ever got out of line.

“I won’t be outside like that, so when I do be outside, these ballplayers, these rappers, and these dudes — they see me,” she said. “And their voices start trembling. They are nervous! Because I’m a bad bitch! You don’t get that — I got that.”

She continued: “So every time you try to bring turmoil to my marriage, I’m just saying, y’all know what’s gonna happen next. We’re gonna get a divorce, and people are gonna be mad nosey, and mad happy.

“I’m gonna make an album, and people are gonna wanna hear the album because of it. Another rich n-gga’s gonna cuff me. And what? What’ll be the point that y’all are tryna make?”

Offset later seemed to respond directly to her comments, first tweeting three laughing face emojis, then writing: “Fly like a bird.” The couple have previously come close to getting divorced.
