Busiswa Gqulu and Kaygee The Vibe to battle it out at child maintenance court

Singer and songwriter Busiswa Gqulu has taken her baby daddy Katlego “DJ Kaygee The Vibe” Mlangeni to maintenance court for not supporting their seven-year-old son. Before dating Busiswa, Kaygee fathered a child with his childhood sweetheart Carole Pasha but the two later separated when Busiswa got into the picture.

In 2018, Busiswa fell pregnant and gave birth the same year. The parents shared the news of the new arrival of their baby boy. “As we put all our faith in you my lord @kaygee_thevibe thank you for being with me through this journey,” Busiswa wrote on social media

In 2019, the pair separated after Kaygee allegedly caught her red-handed in a compromising position with her friend, producer and DJ Themba Kubheka. Kaygee reportedly assaulted the two out of rage but denied laying a hand on Busiswa. At the time, Kaygee said he drove back home and noticed a Polo where he normally parked. “I got into the house and it was unlocked and seems like they decided to do a quickie. So, I entered the bedroom and I caught them having sex on the same bed I sleep on everyday. I took a snippet of the video because I noticed they could hear me. I started physically fighting Marc (Themba).

A friend close to KayGee the says since Busiswa and Kaygee separated, he has not been consistent in maintaining his child. “He is a DJ and a producer. We know, the job is seasonal and depends on bookings,” he says. “He has not been doing well and Busiswa knows that but she has taken him to maintenance court,” he adds. Last week, Busiswa is said to have opened a maintenance case against her ex-lover.

The friend does not know when he last paid papgeld. “She has every right to do so. No mother should be raising the child alone.” Busiswa’s manager Bulie Nazo refused to comment. “We don’t discuss personal matters. I am responsible for her work and not her love life.” Kaygee was not available for comment despite efforts to reach him.
