Bonang Matheba and Somizi Mhlongo were expressive of their thoughts and feelings as regards the success of the Netball Proteas and Banyana Banyana. The 2nd of August, Wednesday was a day of jubilation for South Africans as the women in sports made the nation proud. Various celebrities and citizens took to social media to express their excitement and congratulate the girls for making the nation proud.

Som who was in the radio station when Banyana beat Italy with 3-2 shared a video of his expression with the victory and captioned with, “SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN ARE DOUNG THE MOST WORLDWIDE. @banyana.banyana just made history by making it into the last 16. Let’s go ladies. All the best to the netball team as well.”

The Netball game also got him in his feelings as he penned a note regarding the win.

“What a time to be alive. What a time to be South African. What a time to witness our women’s sport showing the world what Mbokodo means. Just look at these mzansi warriors displaying the resilience our queens have. Look at the score and look at how many seconds are left. Congratulations to the spar proteas. Earlier on it was banyana banyana. It’s a great day it’s a good women’s month.”
