Former Miss SA Bokang Montjane took a trip down memory lane on Thursday when she visited her childhood home. The pageant queen shared a touching message with fans on her Instagram account, talking about her past and sharing some sweet memories. In the post, Bokang spoke about some of the hardships she faced growing up, also mentioning that she became emotional on her trip back. “I got teary taking pics in this yard, inside mama and papas old house gosh even our old coal stove is still there (stofo sa Malahla) lol I have some of my best memories in this house. Yes I’m that girl who didn’t grow up in a village that had electricity,” she shared.
The star took the time to encourage fans who may have grown up in similar circumstances.
“Don’t ever be ashamed of where you come from because that’s your strength, taking pride in who you are and where you come from.
