Kiernan AKA Forbes is honoured by the BET Hip Hop Awards 2023. The late rapper who was gunned to death on the 10th of February this year will be commemorated with the prestigious Global Visionary Award, which recognises his profound impact on the global hip-hop landscape.
AKA’s parents, Lynn and Tony Forbes accepted the award on his behalf at the ceremony in Atlanta on Tuesday. The awards will be broadcast on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET Africa.
Meanwhile, Kiernan leads the South African Music Awards 2023 nominees. The nominees were announced on Tuesday, and the late rapper bagged 7 nods.
