Babes Wodumo Pens A Note To Son Sponge As He Turns 2 And Honors Mampintsha

Babes Wodumo celebrates her son, Sponge who turns 2 years old today.

Taking to social media, the Gqom queen penned a note detailing how she feels today, and posted some snaps, revealing some of the moments her late husband, Mampintsha spent with their son.

Babes says today triggered mixed emotions for her, as she’s elated that she became a mother on this special day, however, she’s saddened by the absence of her partner.

Mampintsha died in a hospital on the 24th of December 2022 after suffering a stroke.

This is the note written by Wodumo to Sponge below:

“Kuthathe sikhathi to write something for you cause I’m in mixed emotions namhlanje. Its your birthday today a part of me misses ubaba wakho cause I know for sure this day was his favorite day it was special even though you share the same birthday month but on this day both our lives changed forever we’re now parents to the precious boy.”

“My Sponge what I guarantee you is this journey ain’t gonna be easy nhlobo I mean kwawena young as you are but everytime you’d hear your dads old voice notes or music you shout”ubaba”uyamkhomba ngisho umbona ezithombeni cause that’s the kind of effect he had on us it’s hard to forget him.”

“This day is a joyous day cause it reminds me that I became a mom but also emotional cause you won’t hear your dad wish you a happy birthday again Your dad used to call you “mastende umnikazi westezi”nendlela ayejabule ngayo on your birthday it was like he knew ngeke asaba khona for the next one.
