Umkhokha: The Curse viewers are devastated to learn that actress Deli Malinga is reportedly leaving the popular telenovela as Mamzobe. Rumours of the fan-favourite Umkhokha: The Curse actress Deli Malinga leaving the show were shared by entertainment commentator Jabu_Macdonald on Twitter.

“There’s rumours of Mam Deli Malinga leaving #UmkhokhaTheCurse. It better not be true”, tweeted Macdonald. While isiZulu publication iLanga News reported on Thursday, 28 September that rumours of the actress leaving the show are intensifying.

A fan of the show @dokter_phil tweeted: “What? But she is Umkhokha, Umkhokha is her…might as well can the whole production then!”

Actress Deli Malinga was not available for a comment at the time of publishing this article.Actress Deli Malinga will not be the first star to exit Umkhokha: The Curse should reports of her exit be true, as actors Mondli Makhoba, Linda Sokhulu and Sthandiwe Kgoroge also exited the show when it returned as a telenovela in March.

The Wife star Mondli Makhoba played the first Reggie in Umkhokha, the series and was replaced by actor Daniel Hadebe. Shaka Ilembe star Sthandiwe Kgoroge played the first MaNzimande in the series and was replaced by actress Gcina Nkosi. 7de Laan star Linda Sokhulu, who played the first Zodwa was replaced by Real Housewives of Durban star Mbali Ngiba. Viewers of the faith-based telenovela predict that Malinga might get replaced with either Winnie Ntshaba or Slindile Nodangala.
