Award-winning Afro-pop singer Vusi Nova has rejected reports of him being involved in a car crash at the weekend.
Speaking to the publication, Vusi said he is heartbroken about rumours claiming he was in a car crash, as his family and friends have been concerned.
“People are malicious, I’ve been receiving calls from my friends locally and internationally checking how I’m doing since I was involved in a car accident. This thing is nonsense, it’s sad, I’m just thinking about my family,” he said.
“Imagine being involved in an accident, which you were not, it’s not funny. It’s like declaring [a] person dead while they are not. I assure my fans I’m doing well and [there] wasn’t an accident.”
Vusi was involved in a car crash in March 2023 on his way to the Vaal after attending his friend Somizi Mhlongo’s jubilee celebrations at Sun City. He and his bodyguards were unharmed.
“This accident got me thinking life is too short,” he said at the time.
