Tweeps have reacted to the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, throwing a birthday celebration for award-winning star Bonginkosi Dlamini better known as Zola7.
The rapper celebrated his 46th birthday on Monday 24 April and he celebrated it with the Arts and Culture office but the celebration left Twitter users with mixed reactions.
The celebration comes days after Zizi Kodwa, announced that Zola 7 has bagged a new job as the Creative Sector Ambassador.
Tweeps hailed Kodwa for giving the musician a job after his much-publicized financial woes. To celebrate and honor him again Kodwa hosted a small party for him at a restaurant and shared footage of Zola blowing out his birthday candle on a cake.
He captioned the tweet “ZOLA 7, we appreciate your talent and contribution to the social development of our country. A GREAT BIRTHDAY & MANY MORE YEARS,” he wrote.

Minister is this the way you will do things, birthday partying with delinquent celebrities? If public services is about serving individual people instead of high impact social, artistic and heritage projects.

Minister one thing you must guard against and your department should advise you on, DO NOT SHOW FAVOURITISM! One question will be ‘how many did good but were never celebrated, even with a mere cake?’ Don’t push that button. Be different from your predecessor.
