e.TV’s first local medical drama soapie Durban Gen has been replaced with a new TV drama titled Nikiwe. TVSA reports that Nikiwe, which is produced by Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radebe from Parental Advisory Productions will premiere on e.tv on Monday 24 April at 18h30 when Durban Gen ends.

Phil Mphela announced on Twitter, and the actor was congratulated.
“Former Isithembiso star, he played Abednigo on the cancelled Mzansi Magic show, will be starring in the etv telenovela Durban Gen this year,” Phil wrote.
