Shebeshxt’s mother Mpho Chauke is heartbroken by the death of her granddaughter who passed away in a car accident on Saturday night.

The rising singer, his girlfriend, 9-year-old daughter, and an unidentified passenger were in the Volkswagen Polo when it collided with a truck on the R37 Road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo. Speaking to Sunday World in an interview, Mpho said Shebeshxt was travelling from Polokwane to Lebwakgomo to drop off Onthatile and the mother of his child at her home, then head to perform at an ANC rally.

Chauke said she is certain her son is aware of his daughter’s passing due to his conversation, as he mentioned only his girlfriend.

“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” said Chauke.

Shebeshxt suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries; he’s receiving treatment and undergoing tests. Mpho Chauke expresses gratitude for the love shown her son.

EFF’s Julius Malema comes to Shebeshxt’s rescue after horrific accident

Julius Malema, who is the leader if the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has reportedly taken the responsibility of paying for Shebeshxt’s hospital bills. The Dilo Tse Massive rapper was involved in a car crash on Saturday night on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo.

It is reported that Shebeshxt’s Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck and overturned. According to a source who spoke to Sunday World, Malema was contacted to assist the artist – real name Lehlogonolo Chauke – who was reportedly left unattended at a public hospital.

“Shebeshxt does not have medical aid, so they took him to a public hospital, where he was not assisted for some time,” said the source.

“Fearing that he could lose his life, Julius Malema was then called, and he demanded that Shebe be taken to Netcare Pholoso Hospital, a private healthcare facility in Polokwane, to get medical help.”

The source added that Malema will continue to cover Shebeshxt’s bills.

The Twerka hitmaker was one of the artists entertaining the crowd at the EFF manifesto in Soweto in March this year.

The South African’s attempts to obtain comments from the EFF and the musician’s management have, thus far, been unsuccessful. With Shebeshxt in his car were three passengers including his nine-year-old daughter who sadly died in the accident.

ZiMoja reported that the death was confirmed by Tidimalo Chuene – who is the spokesperson for the transport department in Limpopo.

“A 9-year-old female passenger from the Polo passed away while the driver and another passenger sustained serious injuries. The cause of the incident is still under investigation,” Chuene said.

On various social media platforms, videos of a body of a child (believed to be Shebeshxt’s daughter) went viral. In one clip, the body can be seen lying covered next to the artist’s damaged Volkswagen Polo.

Another video shows the musician lying on the ground while paramedics treat his injuries near a stretcher.

In the video, the Dilo Tse Massive rapper’s head and right foot are bandaged as he moans in agony and pleads for water.

Doctors at the Netcare Pholoso Hospital in Limpopo are still trying to determine the extend of musician Shebeshxt’s injuries.

This is according to the music artist’s mother, Mpho Chauke, who gave Sunday World an update about her son’s state after a car accident on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday, 8 June. Shebeshxt — real name Lehlogonolo Chauke– suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries when his Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck and overturned.

“The doctors are still trying to figure out the extent of the injuries but he went to the theatre this morning. So we should know after that,” his mother explained. The Twerka hitmaker was travelling from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo with his daughter, Onthatile Chuene, and his long-time partner, Kholofelo Chuene.

He would have dropped them off at Kholofelo’s house before making his way to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo. The event was scheduled for Sunday, 9 June. On various social media platforms, videos of a body of a child went viral.

In the video, the Dilo Tse Massive rapper’s head and right foot are bandaged as he moans in agony and pleads for water. In a statement on Monday, the Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) conveyed its condolences to Shebeshxt and his family.

“We cannot imagine the pain and grief they must be experiencing, but we want them to know that they are not alone,” reads the statement.

“The entire artistic community stands in solidarity with them, offering comfort and support. Shebe is not only a talented artist but also a valued member of our creative fraternity.

“We have witnessed his dedication to his craft and his passion for inspiring others through his work. We hope that our collective support will provide some solace during this trying period.”

LAM also revealed that some of its representatives visited Shebeshxt’s family, as well as the musician at the hospital. The organisation also urged other artists and fans to send messages of comfort to the Chauke family.

Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke was involved in a fatal accident that claimed his nine-year-old daughter’s life.

The accident occurred on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday night by 10 pm. The musician was on his way to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo when the hideous incident happened.

There were three passengers in Shebeshxt’s Volkswagen Polo when the vehicle collided with a truck and overturned, but they had light injuries.

The spokesperson for the transport department in Limpopo, Tidimalo Chuene confirmed on Sunday morning that the nine-year-old girl could have passed away. The accident affected one of the singer’s legs as seen in videos taken at the scene.

This is the second accident Shebeshxt will survive this year, as he was involved in an accident in January but survived. He bought another car as the former was ruined.

Traditional Healers have called out the South African rising star to be careful as they smell danger around him. It appears that the calamity foretold has manifested.
