The actress and DJ was grilled over a spelling error in the tweet she has since deleted.

South Africans -including celebrities – took to the polls to cast their votes.

In the tweet, Thuli Phongolo posted: “Complementing on taking my mic to the voting station.”

The DJ’s followers were quick to notice that Thuli had used the wrong word – instead of “contemplating,” she had tweeted “complementing.”

Thuli was likely referring to the viral microphone that has taken over social media.

Although Thuli deleted the tweet, a screenshot of it had tweeps amused.

Sofia Vergara has just admitted that she would rather be all plastic than opt for fillers. For Sofia to consider fillers, she would have to believe in the method first. The Modern Family star is of the opinion that she would go for every plastic surgery she can once she’s ready.

“I’m going to do every plastic surgery that I can do when I’m ready,” she told Allure Magazine. I wish I had more downtime — I would’ve done stuff already,” she told the outlet. “[But] because I’m in front of the camera, it’s not like I can do something and then sit in my house recuperating for weeks. The mum of one hasn’t tried either, but believes they are suitable for minor adjustments when you’re young.

“I don’t believe in filler,” she confessed. “I feel filler does good when you’re really young and you want a little bit more cheeks or to plump your lips a little bit.” At my age, 51, I feel it’s not going to make you look younger. It is going to make you look more done.”

As she concluded her remark, the Colombian actress also assured that there’s no shame in going under the knife to look younger as well.

Apple and custard tea cakes recipe. These unassuming little cakes hold a lovely surprise in the centre – a gooey apple custard.

Ingredients (12)

* 150g butter, at room temperature
* 100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
* 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
* 2 eggs
* 200g (1 1/3 cups) self-raising flour
* 80ml (1/3 cup) milk, at room temperature
* Icing sugar, to serve
* Dollop cream, to serve

Apple custard

* 1 1/2 tbs custard powder
* 2 tsp caster sugar
* 185ml (¾ cup) milk
* 1/2 cup mashed apple slices pie fruit

Method

Step 1

To make the custard, place custard powder and sugar in a small saucepan. Stir in 1-2 tbs milk to form a paste. Stir in remaining milk. Slowly bring to the boil, stirring continuously, over a medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes or until thickened. Set aside for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until cooled completely. Stir through the apple.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 12-hole (½ cup) muffin pan.

Step 3

Use electric beaters to beat the butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until pale and creamy. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the flour and milk and beat until well combined.

Step 4

Spoon 1-2 tbs batter into each muffin hole, spreading slightly up the side. Top with 1 tbs custard. Add another tbs mixture to cover the custard.

Step 5

Bake for 22-25 minutes or until golden. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool slightly before transferring muffins to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 6

Dust with icing sugar. Serve with cream.

Air fryer chicken schnitzel bites with honey mustard sauce. These crispy-coated buttery chicken bites are super juicy. The paprika adds a hint of smokiness which works wonders with the honey mustard dipping sauce. The addition of vinegar with the honey cuts through the sweetness. Dill and chicken are a perfect traditional combination with mustard. If you aren’t a dill lover, try parsley or chives.

Ingredients (10)

* 125g (2 1/2 cups) panko breadcrumbs
* 60g (3/4 cup) shredded parmesan
* 1 tbsp smoked paprika
* 185g butter, melted
* 500g chicken breast fillets, cut into 4cm pieces

Honey mustard sauce

* 125ml (1/2 cup) honey
* 3 tsp Dijon mustard
* 3 tsp red wine vinegar
* 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
* ½ tsp mustard powder (optional)

Method

Step 1

Combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan and paprika in a shallow bowl. Season. Place the butter in a separate shallow bowl. Dip a piece of chicken in the butter, allowing excess to drip back into bowl. Place chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to coat. Dip in the butter and breadcrumb mixture again to give a double coating. Place on a plate. Repeat with the remaining chicken, butter and breadcrumb mixture. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to chill.

Step 2

Place half the chicken bites in an air fryer basket, allowing room between each bite. Spray with oil. Cook at 180C for 12 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining bites.

Step 3

Meanwhile, make the honey mustard sauce. Place the honey in a microwave-safe jug. Microwave for 30-60 seconds or until heated through. Add the Dijon, vinegar, dill and mustard powder, if using. Stir until combined.

Step 4

Drizzle the honey mustard sauce over the chicken bites to serve.
