Shebeshxt is said to be fighting for his life after an accident

Limpopo’s controversial rapper Shebeshxt is said to be fighting for his life in hospital after being involved in a fatal accident last night just outside Polokwane. The Ambulance hitmaker was on his way to perform at an event in Polokwane when he was involved in the accident.

Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke’s 9-year-old daughter who was a passenger in the car lost her life. Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport Tidimalo Chuene confirmed the accident. Chuene said the accident took place on R37 at 10:20 pm where a Sh3beshxt’s car collided with a heavy motor vehicle and overturned.

A 9-year-old female passenger from the Polo passed away while the driver and another passenger sustained serious injuries. The cause of the incident is still under investigation,” Chuene said.

This is the second accident Shebeshxt has been involved in within six months. In January, he was also in an accident in Polokwane when his car collided with a bakkie. Although he only suffered minor injuries during the first collision, his brand-new sports car was written off, with videos showing the engine beyond repair. Shebeshxt’s wife, Kholofelo Chuene, who also serves as his manager, could not be reached for comment.

There is reportedly trouble in paradise for actress Letoya Makhene and her wife Lebohang Pulumo Keswa. Things were so bad that Letoya attempted suicide after Lebohang left her. It is reported that Lebohang, who married Letoya in 2020, opened up about their seperation to a close friend via text messages.

The Home Wrecker star is accused of cheating on her wife with a Nigerian drug dealer and a lesbian side chick. She is also accused of sleeping with the drug dealer in exchange for drugs.

Speaking about Letoya’s suicide attempt, Lebohang told her friend that the first incident took place in October after the former Generations:The Legacy actress allegedly burned her wife with boiling water.

“I told her I didn’t want the marriage anymore, and that same week she overdosed on tablets and tried to commit suicide. And this is when I took her to the doctor, and he referred her to a psychiatric hospital, and she had agreed at the time to go, and I was making arrangements only for her to later change her mind and say it’s dlozi (ancestors’) stuff she will sort herself out,” Lebohang’s message read.

In another incident, according to the friend who spoke to Sunday World, Letoya claimed the drug dealer she allegedly slept with had raped her.

“She said they had visited friends in Joburg and Letoya passed out after drinking too much. She stated that she took their children and left Letoya behind.

“Later on, Letoya went to Norwood, [Joburg] where she met with this drug dealer and asked him to give her cocaine in exchange for sex. She said when she confronted her, Letoya said the drug dealer raped her and threatened to press criminal charges against him. But Lebo was not convinced,” said the friend. Letoya, who is also a sangoma and a singer, is also accused of gender-based violence. According to the friend, the actress assaulted Lebohang in Tzaneen between 16 and 18 December 2022.

The couple also made headlines in August last year after claims that Lebohang had physically assaulted Letoya. However, the House of Zwide actress denied the claims in a statement that she shared on Instagram.

In the now-deleted statement, she said: “I have initiates here at my home. So my home is very sacred and peaceful. We respect ancestors. If I backtrack to the date, I have sisters who look exactly like me. It could have been my sister Gontse.”

She continued: “Frankly I’m getting tired of journalists from @thesundayworld calling me and my wife about one thing and then writing stories that have absolutely nothing to do with what they even called about.

“How is that ethical? You don’t even stop to think how your tacky write ups will affect our families, our work and our brands. What happened to investigating a story?

“So basically I can make up a lie about someone who’s life I want to destroy and some journalist will happily write about it just because it’s possibly going to sell papers that we have to admit no one is interested in buying anymore,” she wrote in part.

Hard times hit ex-DiepCity actor Obed Baloyi

Popular South African actor, Obed Baloyi has fallen on hard times after Mzansi Magic’s drama series DiepCity was canned.

The TV series, created by Black Brain Pictures, first aired in April 2021 but was cancelled in March 2023. .

Obed told the publication DiepCity coming to an end was a big blow for him.

“It’s bad, really bad, and I have all the time in the world now. I bump into people in the streets and they stop me to ask, ‘When are you coming back? We want you, we miss you’. I know people miss me and I also miss being on TV. Acting is my life and I wonder what more should I do to prove to the producers that people want me.

“Nowadays I get projects as a side hustle just to survive because I’m a father and I need to put food on the table. Sometimes people tell me all this is happening because of the tribe I’m from. If I was Sotho, Zulu or Afrikaner it would’ve been better. It hurts what’s happening to me, but those are people’s views. I thank Mandla N and Martin Koboekae for always checking up on me and answering my calls because others no longer answer my calls.”

Obed said Mandla N called him after DiepCity was cancelled, to join him in recording a movie but the movie is yet to be released.

“My fans are my source of motivation. I’ve got fans everywhere in the country and I’m humble so fans get to interact with me. I want to go back to TV. I’m always hungry for performance.”

“The feeling was great, doing what I love, which is music. It was an amazing feeling what happened yesterday [Tuesday], hearing my voice still sounds the same. The music I’m doing will make sense to the people. I feel rejuvenated after what happened to me. The producer was lenient with me and we didn’t take a rush,” he said.

“It was good back again recording, though I wasn’t 100% fit, but knowing I can still do music is a blessing. I’m still taking it easy — the song I recorded is Aba Understandi, which will be my comeback single.”

Friends and colleagues of Zanele Mbokazi have responded swiftly by organising an evening prayer event after learning that the Ukhozi FM presenter is in a critical condition. The Crown Gospel Music Awards founder and executive producer has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Mbokazi’s husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, shared the news on Ukhozi FM in May after speculations about her health became rife on social media following her absence from her radio show.

On Friday, close friends and key players in the gospel industry will gather at the Sandton Assemblies of God Church in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, to pray for the media personality.

One of the event organisers and wife of gospel singer Soso Maholwana told Sunday World that the industry planned the prayer event for Mbokazi, who is in a critical condition. She needs our prayers. It is not an easy journey, honestly speaking. She really needs our prayers,” said Maholwana.

“You know how much she contributed to the community; why are we not there for her when she needs us? That is why we initiated this. Even Bishop Nkambule said she needs prayers.”
Maholwana said she was touched when she heard about Mbokazi’s ill-health through an announcement by her husband on the radio.

“I know her from the Crown Gospel Music Awards, in which I participated as an artist. Upon hearing the news, my family and I started engaging in prayers for Mam’ Zanele.

“As I was praying, it was pressed in my spirit that we need to organise a corporate prayer, comprising all christian organisations, churches, and gospel music artists,” she said. The prayer service is set to start at 4pm and will carry on until 8pm. Some of the expected guests at the event are Pastor Benjamin Dube, Solly Mahlangu, Sipho Makhabane, and Rebecca Malope. Metro FM host Thami Ngubane is expected to be the MC for the night.
