Actor Mpho Sebeng Has Sadly Passed Away #RIPMphoSebeng

South African Actor Mpho Sebeng has reportedly died. News was spread by his friend, actor Zola Hashatsi who took to his timeline revealing Mpho died in a car accident on Sunday morning. Sebeng was 30 when he took his last breath following a car accident around Klerksdorp in the North West.

Fondly known for his television roles as Siso Ledwaba in Zero Tolerance (2001-2006) and as Slay in Soul Buddyz (2011), Sebeng was born in Soweto and raised in Witpoortie, Randburg, Johannesburg. He is the eldest in the family and attended West Ridge High, where he matriculated in 2011.

Mpho Sebeng was spotted in a school production, When Sebeng was 12 years old, his mother’s friend spotted him in a school production and encouraged him to pursue acting.

His major roles were in Justice for All, Zero Tolerance, and Bay of Plenty. Sebeng got into Soul Buddyz after auditioning for a part as Slay, the gang leader.

He also played the role of Tsietsi Mashini in the movie Winnie, which aired in 2011. His favorite acting memory was meeting Jennifer Hudson on the production set of Winnie.

Sebeng’s other interests, besides acting, were scriptwriting, photography, and directing. He had a passion for the arts and wanted to play a big role in growing the country’s entertainment industry.

In 2015, the thespian had a starring role in the e.tv drama series, Z’bondiwe, where he portrayed the role of Lebo Ngcobo, a troubled young man and a brother to Axe and Jackson’s youngest son.

He played Neo, a bare-knuckle boxing champion who a well-known manager spotted on the streets of rural Limpopo, in the 2016 e.tv telenovela Ring of Lies.

Sebeng’s family confirmed in a statement on Sunday afternoon that the gifted entertainer died in a car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“While the family appreciates the immense outpouring of love and condolences, the family requests some space to process the news,” said Oupa Morake, the spokesperson for the family.

“The details of his home-going celebrations will be communicated in due course, and we request that you continue to hold the Sebeng family in prayer.”

Fellow actor And Best Friend Zola Hashatsi was shocked and took to Social Media Platform X(formerly known as Twitter) to express his pain following Mpho Sebeng’s Sudden Death.

“It is with a sad, deep, painful heart to announce the passing of a young brother, a friend I took in to replace us when we exited Craze TV, a thespian that was Mpho Sebeng. This one hurts and I’m not OK. His star was only beginning to shine. What a loss, he was only 30 years old. I’ll send more info, as times go. Will be with the family this week. Metro Boomin Launches BBL Drizzy Beat Giveaway In Response to Family Matters

Metro Boomin is encouraging fans to get into the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef with a “BBL Drizzy Beat Giveaway” in response to Drizzy’s “Family Matters.”

The St. Louis, MO-born producer took to X (formerly Twitter) early on Sunday (May 5) and asked fans to freestyle over a beat, with the best verse receiving a free Metro Boomin beat.

He wrote: “best verse over this gets a free beat. just upload your song and hashtag #bbldrizzybeatgiveaway.”

Metro’s provocation is in response to Drake’s latest diss, “Family Matters,” on which the 6 God raps: “I mean it’s true a n-gga slimed me for my AP/ Just like how Metro n-gga slimed him for his main squeeze/ Out here beggin’ for attention, n-gga, say please.”

The “Creepin’” producer’s solicitation was only the beginning of her taunts towards Drake. He continued an onslaught of taunts towards Drizzy on X.

He echoed Kendrick Lamar’s taunts on his latest diss, “Not Like Us,” noting that the MC was a colonizer, sharing an old video of Drake talking down on Toronto slang.

He shared another video of Drake saying the n-word, and re-posted it with hashtags: “#wedontwannahearyousaynigganomo
#colonizer.”

He also shared a video of a person who looks a lot like Drake getting liposuction on his stomach. Metro commented: “I knowwww a n-gga wit lipo scars not tryna call me lame [three crying laughter emojis, three crying emojis].”

The “Superhero” producer also responded to Drake’s allegations on “Family Matters” that Metro’s friend slept with his girlfriend.

He tweeted: “the drum thing was laughable so I let it slide but what we not gon do is spread lies and have my loved ones involved. nobody ever hit my girl n-gga we grew up together [two crying laughter emojis, two crying emojis] she’s a real woman and not even in the industry but I guess #youwouldntknownunboutdatttt.”

Metro also shared receipts of Drake trying to prevent “Like That,” the track from Future, and Metro’s We Don’t Trust You, which kicked off the drama way back in March.

He shared an email and captioned it: “I’m lame but the first week after #LikeThat you tried to block it at the radio. I have been sitting on this email for a month now but was just sparing you. oh, u ain’t #LikeThat record???”

He concluded his taunts by writing: “Now go make another song telling more lies ’cause we both know you can’t tell everyone why I don’t fuck with u.

Kendrick and Drake’s ongoing feud went to a dark place over the weekend when both rappers took shots at each other’s families. With new diss tracks out by each rapper, released an hour apart, the beef entered a new phase.

In the early hours of May 3, K.Dot amped up the rivalry by dropping “6:16 in LA.” A follow-up to “euphoria” from earlier in the week, the cut alleged that people in Drizzy’s own team are praying for his downfall and even leaking information to his adversaries.

Less than an hour after the above track surfaced, Kendrick Lamar posted his rebuttal.

“meet the Grahams” clocks in at roughly six-and-a-half minutes and addresses each member of Drake’s immediate family — Adonis (son), Sandy (mother), and Dennis (father) — in addition to the Toronto MC himself, who is referred to by his real name, Aubrey Graham.

Brighton 1-0 Aston Villa. Joao Pedro struck a late winner as Brighton put a dent in Aston Villa’s Champions League hopes at the Amex Stadium.

The Brazilian headed home a rebound in the 87th minute after his penalty was saved by Robin Olsen.

Pascal Gross had an earlier effort for the hosts ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), while Villa captain John McGinn was also judged to be inches ahead of the Brighton defence before scoring at the other end.

Unai Emery’s fourth-placed side remain seven points clear of Tottenham, who have two games in hand and visit Liverpool on Sunday.

Having suffered a disappointing loss to Olympiakos in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, Villa missed the chance to strengthen their hold on fourth place with two matches left.

They were sluggish throughout and Brighton looked to have taken a deserved lead in the 68th minute when Gross met a Pedro cross with a clever finish, but VAR ruined his celebrations.

The Seagulls had found Villa keeper Olsen – replacing the injured Emi Martinez – in fine form, but kept pressing.

When winger Simon Adingra went to ground in the box under a challenge from Ezri Konsa, referee Robert Jones pointed to the spot.

It was almost in keeping with the game that Pedro had his penalty pushed away by Olsen, but the striker was sharp enough to nod home the rebound.

Roberto de Zerbi’s side moved up to 11th in the table after ending a disappointing run of no wins in six games and their first at home against Villa since 1980.

A lack of goals is not something often associated with De Zerbi’s Brighton, but they have now only scored five times in their last 10 Premier League fixtures.

The Seagulls started the game full of attacking intent but clear-cut chances were hard to come by in a scrappy encounter.

Sweden international Olsen produced two fine saves in either half to deny Gross and then Pedro as Villa’s backline was breached.

Brighton’s free-flowing style was a highlight of an impressive start to the season, but they looked to have lost confidence.

Adingra and Pedro showcased their talent on occasions but there seems to be a lack of cohesion between the Brighton attack as their campaign nears a frustrating end.

But for Pedro’s 20th goal of the season, it would have been a third successive game without scoring.

Villa fans have suffered more than most this week with successive defeats.

Before the Europa Conference League semi-final first leg tie with Olympiakos, they were full of hope and expectation.

There was disbelief after the 4-2 home loss and the loss to Brighton will further add to their misery.

Three points for Villa would have put one foot in the Champions League next season and given them a lift for their second-leg return in Greece.

Emery will need to pick up his players up for one last push to make sure they don’t blow the chance of making this season a memorable one.

Chelsea 5-0 West Ham United. Chelsea strengthened their chances of securing European football next season, cruising to victory against West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

It took just 15 minutes for Chelsea to get their noses in front with Cole Palmer reacting quickest to meet a loose ball in the West Ham box.

West Ham almost hit back immediately when Jarrod Bowen’s header crashed back off the crossbar, but it was one-way traffic from then on.

Chelsea doubled their lead on the half-hour mark through Conor Gallagher before Noni Madueke headed in the third six minutes later.

Nicolas Jackson struck twice in the second half to round off a wholly positive afternoon for the Blues.

With just three games left to play, Chelsea’s season seems to be heading for a strong finish as they have climbed up to seventh and sit just two points shy of sixth-placed Newcastle, while West Ham, who have two games remaining, stay ninth.

After a rocky first season under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea are starting to click and European football could still be on the agenda for next season if they keep up this momentum.

The Blues have won nine of their past 11 home Premier League outings and they are now on a four-game winning streak at Stamford Bridge, having beaten Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham and now West Ham.

They seem to be playing with greater confidence and it bodes well for the next term.

An assured finish into the the bottom right corner from Palmer set Chelsea on their way, taking his tally in the league to 21.

Captain Gallagher’s strike was equally as impressive as he volleyed emphatically across the target to leave Alphonse Areola rooted to the spot.

The game was pretty much over as a contest by the 36th-minute when Madueke found space in the six-yard box to turn in Thiago Silva’s knockdown.

Jackson further tightened Chelsea’s grip on all three points shortly after half-time and he showed great composure when rolling in the fifth after beating the offside trap late on.

Chelsea were not asked too many questions defensively but Pochettino will also be pleased to see his side record back-to-back clean sheets in the league for the first time since February 2023.

The Hammers have won just one of their past 10 games across all competitions, losing five, and are on course to miss out on a fourth successive season in Europe.

They have conceded 70 goals this season, including shipping five goals on four separate occasions, with only bottom three clubs Burnley (74), Luton (78) and Sheffield United (100) with a worse defensive record.

Former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui held talks with West Ham about replacing David Moyes this week and a second successive heavy defeat on the road, having lost 5-2 at Crystal Palace on 21 April, leaves the Scot in an even more precarious position.

Bowen was the only positive for West Ham on a miserable day for the visitors, hitting the crossbar on three occasions.

Despite conceding early in the second period, West Ham did pose slightly more threat after the restart with Emerson firing over the bar and half-time substitute James Ward-Prowse forcing a save out of Djordje Petrovic.

The result extends Moyes’ terrible record when visiting Chelsea as a manager, failing to win any of his 19 trips – losing 12 and drawing seven.

The website address in the festival’s cancelation announcement tweet is incorrect, though they included the correct website in a follow-up message.

“[T]he National Weather Service has now issued a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-35 mph sustained winds with gusts potentially more than 60 mph. Following advice from the National Weather Service and in consultation with local public officials, we must make the safest decision for our fans, artists, and staff, and cancel tomorrow’s Lovers & Friends Festival,” the site reads, in part.

While Usher, Lil Wayne, and Nas were amongst the top acts listed for the now-aborted festival, it had been plagued with lineup problems from the beginning.

Shortly after Mary J. Blige was announced as part of the lineup back in January, the 53-year-old singer made it clear that she will not be taking the stage at the Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas this May. While she was billed alongside titans such as Lil Wayne, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly, and Snoop Dogg, Mary has revealed that she was not scheduled to appear at the event, as it conflicts with a project of her own.

“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later!

Sexyy Red has pulled her version of a Donny & Marie, and gone “a little bit country” with her latest appearance at a Zach Bryan concert.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday (May 4), the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper thanked the country music superstar for bringing her out during his concert at St. Louis’ Enterprise Center the previous night. St. Louis is, of course, Sexyy’s hometown. Bryan billed the town as “HOME OF @sexyyred” in a social media post with the rapper.

In true Sexyy Red fashion, the video she posted of her cameo featured her twerking for the crowd. She came out during the encore, Bryan’s 2020 track “Revival.”

Hip-hop has moved more and more towards country music as Black artists reclaim their space in the genre, prompted by the success of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album.

Her impact is the subject of a documentary called Call Me Country. The Tennessean is reporting that CNN FlashDocs is behind the production, which was made available at the end of last month.

“Beyoncé’s highly anticipated album Cowboy Carter, released March 29, arrived during a revolution within country music as the latest arena of the culture wars in America,” read a statement from Warner Brothers Discovery, the parent company of the network, in a press release.

In addition, back in April, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre rebooted their 1993 classic track, “Gin & Juice,” for the country crowd, and they enlisted the help of rising country music superstar Hardy to do it.

Hardy dropped the track on April 19 and explained that he personally got the call from the West Coast legends to do the cover.

Manchester City 5-1 Wolves. Erling Haaland’s first four-goal haul in the Premier League left Manchester City three wins away from an historic fourth successive English league title.

With no margin for error following Arsenal’s earlier victory over Bournemouth, City delivered the perfect response.

City were given a helping hand they did not need thanks to a favourable 12th-minute penalty decision from referee Craig Pawson.

Haaland sent Wolves keeper Jose Sa the wrong way, then beat the Portuguese from the spot again just before the break after he had been brought down by Nelson Semedo.

A minute after Hwang Hee-chan had pulled one back for the visitors, Haaland struck again, powering onto Phil Foden’s brilliant lofted pass.

Scrolling back through Haaland’s incredible scoring feats since his arrival at Manchester City, it was almost a surprise to learn he has never scored four in a Premier League game until this one.

He has scored five twice, at Luton in the FA Cup in February and against RB Leipzig in the Champions League in March last year.

Haaland now has nine hat-tricks. His overall tally for the season is 36.

Incredibly, he is now 87th in the all-time Premier League scoring charts with 61, one more than City legend David Silva, who watched this game from the stands, has a statue outside the stadium and was given a standing ovation in recognition of his trophy-ladened 12 years of service to the club.

It can only be imagined what figures Haaland will reach if he remains at City for that length of time.

For Arsenal, there was a predictability about Haaland’s efforts and the overall outcome, that can only make them wonder just where their rivals will drop points.

On paper, City’s visit to Tottenham on 14 May is tough. But, as Arsenal themselves proved last week, Ange Postecoglou’s side are in poor form and on this evidence would be hard pressed to stop Haaland in his tracks.

Wolves boss Gary O’Neil watched this game from the directors’ box after being given a touchline ban for his verbal volley at the officials after his side were controversially denied an injury-time equaliser against West Ham last month.

It was the latest in a string of decisions O’Neil feels have gone against his side this season, starting in the opening round of fixtures when they were denied a late penalty at Old Trafford.

Watching the replays of Josko Gvardiol’s collision with Rayan Ait-Nouri as the Croatia defender fired over, the momentum seemed to be with the City man going into his opponent. It could also be argued it was a physical confrontation and neither man should be penalised. Pawson opted to focus on the fact Ait-Nouri had not touched the ball. Under those circumstances, it was not a ruling likely to be overturned by VAR.

However, it was Stuart Attwell, who came under so much scrutiny from Nottingham Forest for missing what they said were three penalty decisions at Everton recently, who stepped in to ensure Semedo bringing down Haaland for City’s second penalty was penalised after Pawson had failed to spot it in real time.

However, the wait for the decision was a lengthy one, during which time the Wolves fans chanted ‘it’s not football anymore’.
