Fully Funded Scholarships in Netherlands for International Students: With scholarship programs like those listed on this page, Netherlands aims to help reduce the shortage of skilled workers through training courses and programs. Moreover, the Dutch higher education institutions responsible and places much priority on education and training.

To get a scholarship in the Netherlands as an international student, you need to fully meet these general eligibility criteria.  Your nationality should be non-EEA. You should be applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions. The Netherlands Government through the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences offers the Holland Scholarship for International students to study for Undergraduate and Master’s

The Holland Scholarship which was established in 2014 currently grants scholarships to 2,112 students per academic year. It is a fully funded scholarship program.
2.) Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship (AES) for International Students
The University of Amsterdam, Netherlands has recently launched a prestigious new scholarship program targeting exceptionally talented Master’s students from outside Europe. The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship (AES) is a full scholarship of €25,000, covering tuition and living expenses for one academic year. There is the possibility of an extension for a second year for two-year Master’s programmes. Duration of Scholarship: Students who receive the AES for a two-year Master’s program will be evaluated after one year of study.

3.) TU Delft sub-Saharan Africa Summer School Scholarship

Applications offered for the Sub- Saharan Africa Scholarship for the Summer School Planning and Design with Water at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of the TU Delft, in the Netherlands.

Value of Award: The scholarship includes; a plane ticket between your country of origin and Amsterdam and back. The ticket will be organized and bought by TU Delft upon selection of the candidate and the granting of a Dutch visa. The fees for the Summer School (400 Euros) will be waived, a small amount of pocket money, enough for food and transport during 20 days in the Netherlands and accommodation during your stay (you might be housed with a TU Delft student during the period of the Summer School).

The USP scholarship is intended for students with an excellent academic profile, but who require financial assistance to study. Evidence of social engagement and extracurricular activities will support your funding request. The call for application will be published on 1 November annually. 5.) Hague Academy Talent for Governance Program for Developing Countries

Talent for Governance only selects people who possess a strong motivation to make a difference for their citizens. The talent program consists of a training course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance, an internship in a Dutch municipality, and worldwide networking activities.

Value of Scholarship: The Talent for Governance program is almost completely cost-covering. The talent program covers the cost of tuition fees, travel costs, accommodation, and most living expenses in the Netherlands.

6.) RNTC Media & Journalism Scholarships for African & Developing Countries
The RNTC Netherlands training center provides training for media professionals from all over the world: from journalists and program-makers to social activists and communications professionals from non-governmental organizations. Whether you are a journalist, a blogger, or a media manager, there are courses to fit your needs. If you want to apply for a scholarship to cover the costs of the course, then you should apply to both RNTC (for your course application) and Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) (for a fellowship).

Value of the Program: An NFP or MSP scholarship will cover the full cost of your travel and visa, accommodation and meals, insurance, and the course fee.

7.) Amsterdam Merit Scholarships (AMS) for International Students

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the EU/EEA can apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS). The UvA will award up to 6 of these scholarships annually.

Value of Scholarship: Full scholarship of €25,000, covering tuition and living expenses for one academic year.
8.) Rotterdam School of Management Undergraduate Scholarships for International Students

Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University offers scholarships for students from non-EEA countries, who are not entitled to pay the EEA tuition fee, provided their grades are considered ‘excellent’.

Value: The scholarship is provided in the form of a waiver from the non-EEA tuition fee and awarded for the first year of the IBA program only, provided excellence in previous education is proven.

9.) Radboud University Masters Scholarships for International Students

The Radboud Scholarship is only intended for talented students who have obtained outstanding study results and are highly motivated to pursue a Master’s degree program at Radboud University. The Radboud University Scholarships are offered to a selected number of prospective international students to pursue a complete English-taught Master’s degree program.

Value of Scholarship: The scholarship consists of a partial tuition waiver and pays for costs for visas and insurance.

Each year, Utrecht University in the Netherlands offers the Utrecht Excellence Scholarships for international students to undertake Masters’s degree programs. The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers a number of graduate scholarship awards to highly talented prospective international students, with the opportunity to pursue a degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University

11.) Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarship for International Students

Maastricht University High Potential scholarships are offered by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund in order to encourage talented students from outside the EU/EEA to undertake a Master’s program at the University. The Holland High Potential Scholarship consists of a High Potential Scholarship combined with a Holland Scholarship.

Value of the Program: Living expenses: € 12,350 (13 months) or € 23,750 (25 months), Insurances: € 710, Visa costs: € 317, Tuition fees: € 13,000 € 15,000 or € 17,500 depending on the tuition of your study program and Pre-Academic Training Costs: € 825

12.) Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships at TU Delft University

The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellent scholarship programs for international students. The Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship is one of those programs and it aims to financially support excellent international MSc students wishing to study at TU Delft

Value of Award: Full fee waiver for a TU Delft MSc program and living expenses and Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.

13.) TU Delft | Global Initiative Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships

These scholarships give talented, motivated, and broadly interested students from Sub-Saharan Africa the opportunity to study at the Delft University of Technology. The Global Initiative of the university aims to work together with scientists and entrepreneurs in developing countries to make an impact and improve people’s lives.

Value of Scholarship: Full fee waiver for a TU Delft MSc program and living expenses for 2 years. Membership to the Scholarship Club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.
14.) Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Scholarships at IHE Delft

In partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (IHE Delft) has launched a new Master of Science Programme in Sanitation. It is a unique, internationally recognized program, designed for completion in 12 months. Fifteen top talents will be admitted to the first edition of the MSc in Sanitation and will receive a scholarship. The program with scholarships available for top talents is based at IHE Delft in the Netherlands, with thesis work abroad, while, in the near future, the program will also be available at universities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Value of Award: The scholarship covers tuition fees, direct study-related cost, insurance visa cost, monthly allowance for living and accommodation, research allowance, international travel. Visa and accommodation will be arranged by IHE Delft.
15.) University of Twente Joint Japan/World Bank Masters Scholarship for Developing Countries

The University of Twente through the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship offers Masters to students from World Bank member countries.
