Emtee claims he helped Sjava

Emtee, a well-known figure in the South African hip-hop scene, recently made a notable statement, declaring, “Sjava was my artist. This revelation has sparked discussions among fans, shedding light on the early dynamics between the two artists.

Emtee, whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu, is recognized for his impactful contributions to the genre, with hits that have shaped South African hip-hop. His claim about Sjava highlights a period when Emtee played a pivotal role in Sjava’s career. The rappers’ paths crossed when they signed to the same record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment years ago.

The Pearl Thusi hitmaker started his record label after chaotically exiting Ambitiouz, Sjava followed and departed to become an independent artist. However, Ndevu’s recent social media post revealed that he signed Sjava into Emtee Records at the genesis. FYI @sjava_atm was my artist when we started,” the Trap Star wrote.
