Easy ways to make and store garlic paste

Garlic paste is an essential kitchen staple that is used to flavour a variety of dishes. With its intense flavour and strong aroma, garlic paste is used in almost every meal . garlic and making a paste out of it every time while making something is a tedious task and requires a lot of time as well.
It is ideal to make garlic paste in advance and store it for later usage. If you are a garlic lover, then here are three ways to make garlic paste at home.

1. Microwave method
Take one whole garlic and cut it in a way that ¼ part of garlic head is removed and the cloves get exposed.
Remove all the excess layers and peels of the garlic.
Place the whole garlic in a small bowl.
Drizzle it with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Add 2 tablespoons of water to the bowl and cover it properly with a cling film.
Place the bowl in the microwave for 8 minutes.
Once roasted taken out the bowl from the microwave and let it cool down a bit.
Squeeze out the garlic paste into a bowl and mash it well using a fork.
Store the paste in an airtight container in the fridge.

2. Soaking method
If you often face trouble while peeling garlic, this trick is ideal for you.
Roughly separate all the cloves from the whole garlic bulb.
Fill a bowl with warm water and dip the cloves in it.
Let the cloves stay soaked in warm water for at least 2 hours.
Now just peel the garlic cloves and you will notice that the skin will come off easily.
Trim the edges of the cloves and add all the cloves to a blender.
Blend well to form a paste.
Store the garlic paste in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

3. Crush and Shake method
Take garlic cloves of 2 garlic bulbs and place them on a chopping board.
Now use your palm to gently press the cloves.
You need to exert just enough force to loosen the peel.
Transfer all the garlic cloves to a jar and close it with a lid.
Now shake the jar very well for 1-2 minutes.
This will separate the peel from the cloves within minutes.
Add all the peeled cloves to a blender along with 2 pinches of salt and 2 tablespoons of oil.
Blend to form a smooth paste.
Transfer the paste to a jar and store it in the fridge. Both salt and oil will act as preserving agents.
