Dr. Nandipha Magudumana and all the co-accused appear at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court for a bail hearing. Reportedly, in light of the new piece of information that has come to light, Dr. Nandipha’s lawyers have abandoned their bail application.
The Bloemfontein Magistrates Court sat down for a brief appearance of Dr Nandipha Magudumana and five other co-accused in the case of Facebook rapist and murderer, Thabo Bester.
According to Chriselda Lewis of the SABC, Dr. Nandipha’s lawyers approached the state prior to their client’s court appearance. The lawyers informed the state of the new information that has come to light, which they still need ample time to respond to, before their client’s bail application.

The bail application for Dr. Nandipha and the other five co-accused has been remanded to 16 May 2023, which is the day Thabo Bester will be applying for bail as well.

However, Bester’s legal representative has since abandoned him due to failure to settle his legal costs. Bester is expected to have a new legal representative when he appears at the Magistrates Court Court on 16 May 2023.
