Cassper Nyovest reacts to the claim that British rapper Central Cee jumped on Amapiano before South African rappers. The musical genre has existed for over a decade and its growth, especially to the international scene marvels lots of Mzansi artists.
Recently, an Amapiano song by Nigerian singer Asake titled Wave featuring Central Cee was released, and it did millions of streams.
A Twitter user shared a video clip from the music video of the song and captioned it with, “No way Central Cee jumped on the Yanos before South African rappers, and he floating.”
An angered Cassper Nyovest peacefully told the tweep to stop pushing a false narrative. Cassper’s response might be short, but it says a lot as he is undoubtedly the first South African rapper to jump on the Amapiano genre.
The rapper was trolled by some people but he succeded with the move as he dropped a few Yano hit songs which included the classic, Siyathandana.
Stop it. https://t.co/rxi3L0CzVf
