Azealia Banks Urges Nicki Minaj to Divorce Her Enabler Husband and Quit Trash Collabs

Azealia Banks has put Nicki Minaj in her crosshairs, informing her that her husband — Kenneth Petty — needs to go, as do her “trash” collaborations. Taking to Instagram on Sunday (July 23), Banks first addressed Minaj’s strained relationship with Cardi B, with whom she currently has a long-standing rivalry. She continued: “Ugh, Nicki, please stop doing these trash collabs.”

“U can’t be crying for Cardi B’s friendship,” she said. “And still almost six years later, not having been able to realize that she’s beating you not because she’s better – but because she’s FUN and FUNNY. You cried because Cardi B wouldn’t be ur friend. We know u like her as much as we do…It’s okay to appreciate what she brings to the table.”

Banks then took Minaj to task for her husband, Kenneth Petty, and his behavior. “I’m sorry, but no man who loves you is gonna let you sit around on Insta Live and scream misinformed obscenities at the top of your lungs while his kid is in the other room. That man was sent to MAKE SURE YOU DESTROY YOURSELF, and you need to realize this asap […] including divorcing that enabler man,” she wrote.

Azealia Banks has come under fire for her comments like this in the past. Last month, she received backlash for comments she made about D.C. Young Fly and the recent death of his girlfriend Jacky Oh.

Banks, who notably became upset on live TV after Young Fly roasted her during a segment on Wild N’Out in 2018, addressed Jacky Oh’s passing on her Instagram Stories on June 7 and appeared to celebrate her death as payback for her partner’s insults.

“Damn DC Young Fly spent years disguising his own deeply rooted hatred of self as jokes pointed at women’s beauty, projecting his own ugliness unto women perfectly secure in their own skin,” she wrote. “Say what you want about my tears. They were pure tears of rage and not at all a sign of weakness.”

She continued: “Because in the end… I won. I’m happy I cried and moved on. That Jackie O girl must have been so deeply insecure about herself. And the nerve of DC to call such a gorgeous woman as Azealia Banks ugly on National television while a bunch of Black people laughed.

“And ironically, Dead at 32 exactly on my 32nd birthday May 31st, 2023, in Miami FL. You n-ggas are going to learn to stop fucking with me.”

As for Nicki Minaj, she’s been enjoying the “Barbie World” success with Ice Spice — who recently recalled that she “cried” when she first met the “Starships” rapper.

“I was, like, nervous to get there,” Ice Spice recalled. “Once I got there, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m chilling.’ But then I heard her, like, say something, and then I got nervous.

“When she hugged me, I started crying… I cried, but I walked away. Like, I didn’t say anything to her. I just feel like, ‘Bro, like just the journey.’ You know, I love Nicki, and meeting her was great and everything, but for me, it also just mostly felt like, ‘This is a full circle moment.’
