Yo Gotti has announced he’s set to reunite with DJ Drama for a brand new Gangsta Grillz mixtape which is due out next week. The Memphis rapper opened up about his plans to team up with the Philly DJ and producer once again on Wednesday (July 26), while revealing the project will be titled I Showed U So — acting as a sequel of sorts to their 2006 tape I Told U So.
“Hanging Out Da Phantom In A Foreign Country Wit My N-ggas Wit Me & Da Girl I Always Wanted – Still Ain’t Did My Net Worth But I Gotta Be Up 9 Figures,” Yo Gotti wrote.
“I Manifested This Sh!T ‘I SHOWED U SO’ GANGSTA GRILLZ Me & @DJDRAMA 8/4 FIRST SONG & VIDEO DROP TOMORROW.”

Gotti’s new project is slated to arrive on August 4, but he’s promised he’ll drop the first single from I Showed U So on Thursday (July 27). Fans are excited to hear Gotti and Drama join forces once again, including Ice of The Joe Budden Podcast, who commented on the post: “This finna be the oneeeeeee.”
“Damnnn this shit feel like im a kid in 06 again!” another fan chimed in, while a third fan added: “Nawwww Not Old Gotti And Dj Drama I’m Having Flash Backs!”
The pair’s 2006 mixtape, I Told U So, served as a seminal moment in the Memphis native’s decorated career. The project saw features from Slim Thug, Young Buck, Lil Keke, and more, and now 17 years later, Yo Gotti has a ton of success and accomplishments to ruminate over.
It’s safe to say Gotti definitely enjoys the fruits of his labor these days, recently revealing that he spent $ 5 million in a celebratory spending spree for his 42nd birthday in May.
Yo Gotti splurged on his “biggest jewelry purchase yet” with a diamond-encrusted chain boasting 122 karats across 61 stones.
“Every year I spend at least a Million on my Birthday, Traveling Da World, Adding Cars To my Collection, Coppin my Favorite Watches, In Honor of Coming From Nothing,” Gotti wrote in his IG caption.
