Killer Mike Announces That Andre 3000 Is Producing A New Album

Killer Mike

Killer Mike has confirmed rumors that amid André 3000’s travels across the globe, the Outkast icon is indeed working on a brand new solo album.

Killer Mike

Killer Mike joined Sway’s Universe on Wednesday (June 21) for an interview surrounding his acclaimed Michael album, where he pulled back the curtain on 3 Stacks’ next musical endeavor.

“Yeah, I think we fly out in a couple of weeks to go listen to it,” the Run The Jewels rapper confirmed Sway’s curiosities. Killer Mike’s even heard about nine tracks of unreleased music from André 3000.

“Wow, that’s amazing. André 3000 got an album coming,” Sway said in approval.

André 3000 is yet to release a solo album in his career and his last studio LP came as part of Outkast with 2006’s Idlewild.

Killer Mike has long been close with his fellow Atlanta Hip Hop staple and also confirmed that there’s another collaboration between the two of them that exists featuring 3 Stacks rapping for about seven minutes.

“Killer Mike played me a record one time with him and André, I’m not even joking this is one of the greatest Hip Hop records, just musical records I’ve ever heard in my life,” Charlamagne Tha God hyped the track during Killer Mike’s visit to The Breakfast Club last week. “It’s phenomenal. I can’t even describe what y’all doing on this record.”

Killer Mike responded: “There is another Killer Mike and Dre feature and all we gotta do is make this album go No. 1 and make the guys from the label really, really happy and I’ll be back next year… It’s about 12 minutes — seven and five. Stacks rap longer. When you handsome all the girls like you you get to rap longer.”

3 Stacks even made a guest appearance on Killer Mike’s Michael album cut “Science & Engineers,” which finds him rhyming alongside Future and Eryn Allen Kane on the ethereal track.

Michael features assists from a myriad of superstar guests including Curren$y, Mozzy, 2 Chainz, CeeLo Green, 6LACK, EL-P, Blxst, Ty Dolla $ign, Jagged Edge, Kaash Paige, and more.

“This is my come-home moment musically,” Mike told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe of the album. “It is the gospel, it is soul, it is funk, it is Hip Hop.

“And from a moral standpoint, I was taught morality through the Black Southern Christian church, which gave us the civil rights movement, the abolitionist movement, which gave us some of the most beautiful music ever. And I feel like I’m honoring that and I finally figured out my place.”
