Somizi Mhlongo is reportedly returning to Metro FM

It appears not everyone is jumping for joy following the news that media personality Somizi Mhlongo will be returning to the airwaves. This comes after Mhlongo was laid off of his job in 2021, following the abuse allegations that were levelled against him by his then husband, Mohale Motaung.

Following the news that former Metro FM presenter Somizi Mhlongo will be making his way back to the microphone. Scores of people, including tweeps have since criticize this decision.

According to SurgeZirc SA, the station have been in talks with Mhlongo surrounding in his return. However, they have managed to keep mum about everything to avoid the media, social media and public’s reactions.

“The station has been in talks with Somizi since last year, according to a source, everything was done with caution to avoid media reactions” wrote SurgeZirc SA

The news comes shortly after Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung are currently a hot topic after Johannesburg’s High Court;s decision. The High Court has ordered Mhlongo to tender all of Motaung’s costs and legal cost, following his withdrawal of his counter case for assault against Motaung.

Scores of tweeps have since criticized the decision of Mhlongo returning to Metro FM. According to a close source, Mhlongo have only disclosed the news of his return on the radio to his close friends, as the station is also keeping mum about it.

Tweeps have also complained about Mhlongo being booked and busy even after the damning abuse allegations against him. His daughter Bahumi Mhlongo is also worming her way into the entertainment industry as a very fast pace, yet some tweeps are certainly not thrilled with her acting ability.

“We need to be honest about Somizi getting gigs and his daughter cause her father well connected,she has no Talent in acting but gets acting gigs on TV,Her father gets cooking shows while there educated chefs with degrees sitting at home,he hosts events, his all over Mohale” wrote Joy Zelda.
